    Bruising!!!

Same thing happened to me.. It started 1mo after surgery. I try to eat more Iron.. Baby spinach has alot of iron try eating that every day. And more red meats if you can get it down. And you have to take your Vitamins girl! I take a multi Vitamin I buy at costco, they are gummy-vites. Taste just like gummie bears. I dont have problems with brusiing anymore.. As a matter of fact, I feel fantastic. Good luck to you on your journey.

    Beer & Basketball

Beer??? Lucky...Lucky...man! LOL Oh how I miss beer and burgers!
  6. Very profound qoute.. I love it. IF more people lived thier lives this way, we wouldn't have so much darkness in this world.

  7. I found out who it is..

Albert Camus (7 November 1913 – 4 January 1960) was a French Algerian author, philosopher, and journalist who was awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1957. He was a key philosopher of the 20th-century and his most famous work is the novel L'?tranger (The Stranger).

  8. Like the qoute on your signature line...Who's qoute is that?

  9. I was really close to getting some Fluid taken out of my band too! I hope you start feeling better soon. PS: I need to update my ticker but I am down to 180 now, so it works... but YOWZA, this journey can be brutal sometimes!
  10. Alright check this out. Your story is exactly my story! (with the exception of the hot wing story posted earlier) LOL Here we go.. It has been exactly 10 days since my 4th fill. I too, did the Water drinking test right after, and same thing.. went down, with a gurgle.. kind of like a clogged drain..draining slowly. The nurse was like are you okay and I was like Yeah Im good.. Of course I wanted that restriction..badly..But in my head I was like...Am I really okay? Did the liquids for 24hrs..Even water was going down slowly.. but it was going down. I managed 64 oz's of water. 24 hrs later started reg Protein.. I actually had some boiled chicken.. which I thought would be safe since it is soft. I immediatly became stuck.. badly.. same sliming..pb..story you posted earlier. Except I was at home thank GOD! And not in the car. Brutal! The next couple of days i stuck to soft Soups (cream) and mushies.. mashed potatoes..and let me tell you, I even had a hard time with those. Any meat I tried to eat got stuck.. hurt like hell. Finally.. yesterday 9 days later... I was able to eat some protein..I actually choked down 1 whole cup! I just took small, tiny bites, and chewed the hell out of my meat. So I guess my advice to you is.. Hang in there kiddo... If you can drink water even if it takes a while..You should be okay. Just take it super easy.. Eat softer foods, but try to get in some protein. Eventually it will loosen up. I hope this helps you.

    Last Meal Syndrome?

I felt the same way. My surgeon did not require any pre-op diet.. so I did eat whatever I wanted all the way up to the day before my surgery. Some might disagree with that.. Many will tell you to start eating right, so that you can get used to "what is to come" And it is probably good advice! But I did NOT do that. Do what you feel is right. I had Outback Steakhouse for my last supper. A filet with mashed potatoes, greenbeans. I ate the bread, and the salad too. It was AWESOME! I am doing really good now.. Losing weight, excercising! All of that.. But I am going to be honest with you.. I miss eating a nice big meal. Good luck to you!

    Does EVERYBODY Vomit?

For me it has happened A LOT! All of it.. PBing...sliming...and vomiting, getting stuck. I try to avoid it by eating slower..eating softer Proteins.. But it happens anyway. Just being honest... Good luck
  13. I just had my 4th fill on Mon March 1st...and this is the tightest I have ever been. Its been rough! I was only able to get down yogurt, and cream Soups for two days. Water goes down, I have to drink it slowly, but I am still managing 64 oz of water daily. But I am proud to say that I had some good Protein last night! I boiled some chicken legs in some water with onion and garlic..for flavor, for like 45 min. Pulled it out of water peeled the meat of the bone, and had 1 entire chicken leg. 26 gr of protein. I had to cut it up into small pieces and it took me about 30 min to get it down.. but It worked. I also had a little bit of steamed frozen broccoli..like 2 tbsp. I am going to have left overs for lunch today again. It has been rough this week! food has been difficult. But I am getting through it. I guess we just have to take it easy.
  14. Hi there..

Just read your thread. I live in Surprise, AZ and I was banded by Doctor Juarez at St Lukes Hospital. My surgery was approved through my insurance, as well as my after care, so as far as money$ questions, I would not be able to help you with.

However, my experience with my surgeon, and this journey so far, I would be happy to help you. Anything you need to know i can be here for you. Lemme know girl.

I can tell you for sure this is the best deciscion I have ever made in my life! I am seeing results and feeling better than EVER.

  15. Get some gas-x strips.. It helped me. Take like 3 or 4 of them not just one. (read the directions) My trapped gas went away after 10days. Best of luck to you!
  16. Sorry to hear that your not doing well. :scared2: After my surgery I was only allowed to eat Clear liquids like broth, Jello, posicles.. for 1 whole week. Then I started mushies..like creamy Soups and oatmeal pudding.. What kind of soup are you trying to eat? Your body is healing right now, so you have to be super careful.
  17. Just looked at your pics.. You look awesome!
