  1. First, I want to say hello to all my fellow Marchies and I hope all is well with all of you!

I haven't posted in awhile, so how dare I come back when I need help, but I really could use your input or advise.

I haven't had a fill since May. I think I'm need of a fill because I am able to eat way too much, but I am afraid of getting a fill because for the last couple months I have been experiencing acid reflux at night. I've read that one reason this happens is being filled too tight so I'm afraid that after getting a fill my acid reflux may get worse. Is it possible that it may get better after the fill??? Any suggestions to treat the acid reflux???

I have also been having horrible gas pains almost similar to the ones I had after surgery. I've been chewing Mylanta Gas chewables like crazy, but it's only getting worse. Any suggestions to get rid of this gas???

I may ask these questions in the main forum, but I thought I'd start w/ my March friends.

    Thanks all!!!!

  2. Hello fellow Marchies,

First I want to say I hope that everyone enjoyed Christmas this year. It was just my husband, kids and myself and I loved it. Had a great time.

Second, I didn’t make my Christmas goal of 180, I was 183 when I got up yesterday. But I don’t mind. I am 6 lbs lighter then the day I got married 13 years ago, I don’t take anymore diabetic meds, my overall health has improved. I am happy. Damn, I just realized that I AM HAPPY. My weight isn’t overshadowing every aspect of my life. That feels great. Also realizing that I am 52 lbs lighter then last Christmas and 40 lbs since surgery feels great. I might be a slower loser, but it’s happening.

My prayer for the New Year is that all of us reach our goals and continue on with becoming healthier.

May all your hopes and dreams come true with the New Year.

You should be very happy and very proud of yourself. You are on your way! :):)

  3. I would like to reach my goal weight of 175 by my one year

    band-iversary...March 15th!!! 20lbs to go!

Tone, Tone, Tone!!! I really need to tone up in certain areas especially my legs, butt, back of my arms, and stomach...heck that's everywhere...lol!

I need to get back to drinking 64oz of Water and 50-60 grams of Protein a day.

It's so easy to fall off the wagon, but I am so glad my band is there when I need it!

  4. how we have grown!!! It's so good to see that everyone is doing so well with no major problems. My life has been in shambles (too long of a story) so I haven't had much time to check in. Things are starting to get better and I just wanted to stop by to say hello!

My weight loss has slowed down due to all the ice cream and junk I've been eating. I still workout so I still managed to lose a few pounds. I'm not sure if I want to lose too much more because my ass is totally gone and I'm not happy about that. My neck has gotten so long and skinny it looks like it's going to snap off...lol! I'm afraid to see what I will look like after losing this last 20 pounds. I would love to just tone and firm up at this point so that's what I'm concentrating on.

I still love my band!!!

  5. I hope everyone is having a great weekend. Thank you everyone for all the compliments and the encouragement.

    Mary, you are looking awesome!

Hugs to you Karen, you are in my thoughts and prayers!

Well, my B-day has passed and I didn't make it to ONE-DER-LAND. That's OK though only 3 more pounds to go!!! :cheer2::wow2:

  6. Marchies are awesome and I don't feel like I am traveling this road alone. Thanks for the encouragement everyone!

    lilnena, KEEP IT GOING!!!

laralynn, it's so good hearing from you! We all hit plateaus once in awhile. I have been very lucky, but I think my luck just ran out. I'm at a stand still. No weight loss last week. It would happen now that I'm trying to get under 200lbs. :bored I won't worry about it though. I'll get back on track and so will you, but get your butt back to the gym! :biggrin1:

Nikki, Good Luck at your fill appt and let us know how you feel.

    Happy Monday Everyone!!!

  7. Thanks Tracy! ONE-DER-LAND is only a few steps away can you believe it!!! You are doing a great job as well. Keep it up girl!

  9. Janine, I agree with everyone else you are way too tight. You should still be able to eat a variety of high quality foods.

Nikki, Your daughter is a fabulous Virgo like me... although we can be a bit fussy at times...:-) I think those with higher BMI's tend to lose more quickly no matter what height they are.

Rosi, I try not to weigh too often because I can become obsessed. I only weigh once a week.

  10. I moved last month and it took awhile before I got the cable people out to my house and the computer up and running. I missed all of you guys and I hope everyone had a great month. Everyone seems to be losing so well. Congratulations to you all!!! I was 1 pound short of my 10lb goal for the month of August, but I am thrilled about the 9lb loss. My birthday is in 2 weeks on the 18th so I am hoping to be in ONE-DER-LAND by my 34th birthday! 7 LBS TO GO!!! I'll be posting 6 months pics as well. I hope everyone will post pictures...I can't wait to see!

Hello to my band sister Jeni 85! Thanks for the September thread!

Juli, I'm glad to see you finally got your fill.

jmcambra, that soreness is a good thing!

Hi Carol, Denise, Janine, Tia, Mary, and all you other Marchies!

  11. Maybe "MASTERED" is a strong word, but when I first tried using the stairmaster I would sink like a rock everytime. I couldn't even stay up on that thing for 2 seconds. Either my legs weren't strong enough or I was just too dang heavy! Now, I am able to get up on that thing and stay up there with very little arm support. I don't do it very long because it's part of the circuit so at the most 60 seconds at a time, but I CAN DO IT!!! :)

  12. Thanks jmcambra!

Just checking in on this 1st day of August! I did lose the 15lbs I wanted to lose in the month of July. YAY ME!!! I'll be happy with a 10lb loss for the month of August. My face is getting way too small. The "doberman pincher" look runs in my family and I am scared to see what I will look like once I lose these last 40lbs. My body is alot (((jigglier))) than I want it to be, but I can deal with it. I have finally mastered the "stairmaster", I can do 30 min. jogs on the treadmill, I'm up to 200 crunches a day. I probably could challenge myself some more, but as long as I'm still losing I'm not going to push myself. The count down is on...only 16lbs to ONE-DER-LAND...WOOOOHOOOOOOOO!!!! :wow2::cheer2:;):)

Hi Tia, Juli, and Mary! Mary, to update my ticker I just click on my ticker and it takes me straight to the update page. I click on edit/update, put in my password, change my weight and date and click next and it's changed. Hope this helps if you try the ticker again.

    Have a great month everyone!!!

  13. It's been awhile since I've logged in myself. I'm in the process of moving so I have been sooo tied up, but I think about you guys all the time! ROCK ON MARCHIES!!!

Nikki, I can tell you're tickled pink that your daughter is moving back home. I moved an hour away from my mom about 5 years ago, but come next week I will be moving much closer to her and I am so excited. I am looking forward to spending more time with her, shopping, walking (she walks 5 miles a day), playing scrabble, dominoes. My mother and I are best friends and as I get older, I appreciate the times I spend with her even more. Enjoy the time with your daughter!

As far as the weight loss goes, it sounds like you're doing everything right. If you are exercising everyday, make sure you are taking in enough calories otherwise your body will hold on to the weight. You can try to jump start your metabolism by switching up your workouts and making them more intense and longer. Water, Water, Water! If I don't drink my water I don't lose weight whether I'm eating the right foods or not!

Hi Juli, Denise, Sugarbear, Mary, Rosi, Carol, Karen, Purplemonkey, Janine, Sophie, and everybody else! What would I do without this group?!?! You all keep me motivated! Thanks guys!

  14. I am so glad everyone is seeing some progress after the string of plateaus eveyone was on. I set a goal to lose 10lbs this month and I've lost 7 of those pounds already so I've set a new goal of 15lbs by the end of the month. I am so happy with my band!!! By the way, Crystal Light Slushies from 7-Eleven are the BOMB especially on a hot humid day! Stay positive!
