I am going back to nursing school after my surgery is over and im "in the swing of things again " I LOVE watching surgeries on the discovery channel. The 2 surgeries I can NOT watch are Lipo and Face lifts! . OH and Ortho's espically knee's when theybring out the hammers and drills. Lipo is intense and the way you look afterwards. My friend could not stand up with out crying for several days. I felt SO bad for her! . I hope the girl does well also . I will have to read the people magzine article. Im glad she feels better about herself. The teen yrs are hard enough . Mindy

If I were you I would contact an attorney . I am betting ONE Of his patients if not more has had an infection from this ! . Look up the laws in your state for tape recording conversations. If its a one party State like Texas YOUR the only one that has to know its being recorded. IF you call that office again tape record it if its legal in your state. File complaints this guys NUTS ! . I would call the KS Dept of Health as well . Keep bugging the medical board until they do something, if they dont I would get his pts together and sue his ASS ! He's going to kill someone ! Mindy

Like others it was a long journey . But like someone else said it was a quick decision. I had been thinking about it for a few yrs . But didnt really think it was an option because of money . I would look into it if i saw something about it , read some info on it and think " boy that would be nice" . Then a friend told me about a friend of ours that had it done in Mexico and how much it cost. At that ( this )Point in time we can afford it. So i started looking into it again very hard. Talked to DH about it and said " Its a great idea but your NOT going to Mexico " . So i started cleaning houses to save the money , a job we got from our company took off and I quit all my cleaning jobs last week and I get to start my process next month!!!!!!!!!!!!. once i really looked into it it didnt take long for me to realize that I could do this and it was a great option for me. My mom was against it at first too. She is accepting of it now and supportive of it now. But im some what ticked on how she came around. LOL . We see the same OB . I have seen her since i was 16 when i had my son , so my mom trusts her ALOT as do I . Of of my mom's first words when i told her about having surgery was " What does Dr B think about it ? I told her I dont know I havent told her yet. She told me " I would feel better if she oked it" I honestly think she thought she would be against it . WELL I Saw her last week , I told her I was going to have it and she stood up and clapped and said " GOOD FOR YOU GIRLY " LMAO I wasnt expecting THAT reaction but great. She said " I'm all for it I know how hard it is for some of my pts with PCOS to loose wt and i have lots who have done great with the band , I say go for it " . SO I tell my mom what she says , my mom says " OH OK I feel better about it now , So when are you having it done ? " She wouldnt say 2 words to me about it before. I understand wanting to get the " OK "from a doc but Does she think im an IDIOT and not going to make sure this is safe... ect ? PARENTS UGHH > Long story longer, ,,,, lol hang in there she might come around. Might not come around the way you hoped, or liked but she might come around ! Mindy

I took care of a friend of mine after she had her lipo done. She was black and blue from head to toe, looked like someone beat her with a baseball bat. Did you notice in the picture of the girl that her face was bandaged ? What part of her face being lipoed has to do with wt loss as a tool ? My friend who had it done by the same doc mind you ... also never had cellulite before she had lipo . Now she does. She only wanted her Thighs and tummy done. But the "fat sucker" Doc or what ever he's called talked her into geting her bra area, chin, inner thighs, butt and something else. Because he could only take out a "Certain"amount in one surgery , where the fat was sucked out fat will not redeposit back there.After a few pds gained back it deposits around the lipo instead and POOF ya got cellulite ! . And its looks BAD ! What is going to happen to this girl if THAT happens ? She's going to have something else to be self concious about . Then what ? MORE lipo to fix that ? UGHH Mindy

YEP , they have the polls in the schools DURING SCHOOL HOURS ! They also have them at Churchs, City Halls and Libraries as well as a few other places. There was an incident here in Austin (outside Austin actually ) where a Republican who ran against this one guy 4 YRS AGO got pissy about something and came to the polls ( a church) and punched the Democrat out. What if that was at a school ? Its so stupid to have the polls at the schools. There are enough churchs around have them there ! Mindy

HUMM looking up spastic colon symtpoms they are almost identiacal to what i have but are also almost identical to IBS Symptoms. I am not being treated right now for my "problem" because we dont have insurance. When we get it I probbaly need to look into it. I say IBS because my mom has it and my sysptoms are identiacal to hers. SO im not 100% sure. But my friend who is a nurse and also has IBS says it sure sounds like it. But i need to check into it Mindy

I think what scares me the most is a doctor #1 doing surgery on a child even though its not just this one doing it on this child. But more so is this doctor doing this surgery and saying its a weight Loss tool ? I think this is going down a slippery and dangerous slope. And its giving people #1 a false hope and #2 false intentions up front. I dont think its right. Mindy

I Just meant that sometimes we feel better if someone says " YES your right " I just had a bought with my IBS and I ate pizza today ( im not banded yet) something that has never bothered me before. So im not even sure what exactly it was the bothered me , the sauce , meat, bread? I Have no idea. Is it something in particular ? I knwo you said sweets, But can you pin point something like sweet yeast breads, chocholate ? I know when i have myIBS attacks I seriiously think im in labor and Its instant. Kathy , I totally agree with you . I live in Austin and there was a "rumor" on one of the radio stations that Perry Paid Freidman to stay in the race ! Not sure how true it is but I wouldnt doubt it either. A friend of mine is a teacher and here in Austin in the past days there have been lots of talk about school safety due to arrests at a high school for an Attack that was "Thwarted" . My teacher friend was saying just what you are. If school safty is so important WHY ON EARTH would you allow ANyone in the world in schools on election day. She said that the voters were being allowed to walk all around the school and they just said ' OH im looking for the voting" FOLLOW THE SIGNS! . Im disappointed to see Perry back in office. He's nothing more than Bush's YA Boy . Mindy

She had 2 procedures because he couldnt " Safely" take out enough the first time . When my friend had lipo she said she could only take out so much out of one area at a time. I cant believe that this doc went on TV and said that he used lipo as a "weight loss tool" . Since Lipo isnt approved by the FDA he might be setting himself up for trouble later. I dunno. Its irresponsible on both parts. Mindy

OH That's PRICELESS . If it has the hospital label on it. Somewhere if needed you can find a nurse or someone that will say this doc requests his pts to leave the hospital with needles. Its not a matter of causing trouble this is SO not safe. Were you self pay or Insurance ? Just curious if he's trying to save money for himself or what the deal is ? Mindy

Oh her parents had all the answers let me tell ya . They were very smug about it . I coulndt belive someone would let their kid do that. I have BIG issues with parents who let 17, 18 yrs olds have PS (or pay for it ) But at 12 GIVE Me a BREAK . Mindy

I would say not to eat them and see what happens. Personally and dont take this the wrong way it sort of sounds like your wanting someone to tell you its dumping syndrome ? Again dont take it the wrong way that's just the feeling I get from your responses ? I know your also telling what the symptoms .. But I get the feeling your wanting someone to tell you that's what it is. I would suggest going to your doc and discussing it with him . Like wheetsin said its hard with Name that syndrome. Mindy

This sounds like it could be gallbladder attacks or IBS. I think when I had my "gallbladder' attacks it was really IBS. Mine started very far apart then slowly got more frequent. At first I couldnt attribute it to any food at first because I think different things did it. even now its kind of hit and miss with my IBS. Im not 100% sure my gallbladder attacks were that. But my doc said my gallbladder was diseased . So might be something worth checking into . My IBS Is pretty regular now. Several times a month it happens . Mindy

OH God I didnt know she required a tummy tuck.When my friend had her Lipo done she said they they could only take out so much at one time. I guess that's why she had it done twice ! Her parents said on the show " She's been on a diet since she's 3 so she know's what to eat and not to eat she hasnt changed how she's eating " OK How did that work for her before the surgery ? If it worked she wouldnt have had the surgery ? UGHH . I cant belive a doc did this . Makes me glad I didnt go to him for anything when i was thinking about it . Mindy

ROFLMAO I was just thinking the same thing.:clap2: Here I have 3 boys at my house every weekend who's parents could care less what the hell they are doing. :cry All 3 of them play football and 2 of the boys ( the brothers) their mom has NEVER seen them play. I would not toss it personally , I would keep it to prove the idiot gave it to her. Plus she needs to dispose of it properly in a sharps container. Hell i would take it to a new doc to prove to him he did it maybe then he'll take her as a new patient if anyone gives her problems Mindy

LOL Maybe so . I came around about the age of 25 or 26 . I still had ALOT of rebelion in me. About the time I got married things changed. Its funny though how parents can make grown children ( adults) feel like they did when they were children by saying or doing certain things. My parents stilll do something. I was SUCH a screw up as a teen. (ie having a child at 16 lol) My parents STILL treat me like I screw things up on occasion or like they dont trust me. But I get over it now. My parents were good parents but they made some mistakes. They still are making mistakes that I THOUGHT they would have learned from me . I have a little sister who is 15 , she's 8 months older than my son . My parents apparently didnt learn when it came to their " Ways' On sex w/her. Well guess who she came to to ask about getting on the pill ? ME ... Why ? My parents didnt make it easy for her to talk to them just like they did w/me. They frustrate me to no end sometimes with her. She told me the other day " Im glad I have you cause mom and dad sure dont make it easy " Mindy

Have looked into irritable bowel syndrome ?? Depeding on what I eat I can get like this. Im not banded yet . This can last for hours or days. Some people have cramping with it others do not .Sometimes i do not others I do . Sometimes (TOO Much info coming up ) I can not control my bowels. It comes on so suddenly .
