  1. I dont get on here much...but would love to keep in touch with all of you January 2010 Bandsters.....Can you believe we are all 2 years out!!?? I'm still NOT at my goal...but happy to say that I am 73 pounds liter :) I'm going for 40 more pounds by July/August and see how I feel from there. I thought it would be forever until I was in the 250 range again...but here I am :) Now I can see 230....and 220 isnt that far off now :) If you all would like to keep in touch please message me...my personal email is cartersplus2@gmail.com God bless you all!!!   2. OK...SO TOMORROW IS THE BIG DAY FOR ME :w00t: I'M EXCITED! AND I'M SCARED!!! AND SO NERVOUS!!! I'M TRYING TO KEEP BUSY AROUND MY HOUSE...TRYING TO CATCH UP THINGS SO I WONT HAVE THEM WAITING ON ME WHEN I GET HOME. IT'S HELPING KEEP MY MIND OFF OF THINGS UNTIL I GET HUNGRY!! THEN BACK TO DRINKING FLUIDS....THEY DONT HOLD OVER VERY LONG.

    SO IS ANYONE OUT THERE GOING IN FOR SURGERY IN THE MORNING?? (JANUARY 16, 2010) OR AM I FLYING SOLO HERE?? :woot:

    OK...I'M GOING BACK TO CLEANING HOUSE NOW...MY KITCHEN FLOOR IS IN NEED OF A GOOD SCRUBBING...LOVE THE SMELL OF ORANGE PINE-SOL :thumbup:


  3. OK...SO I'M TRYING TO KEEP UP WITH THOSE WHO ARE GETTING BANDED AROUND THE SAME TIME AS ME. I WILL BE BANDED ON JANUARY 16, 2010 (THIS SATURDAY). SO FAR PRE-OP SUCKS...JUST BECAUSE I CANT SEEM TO KICK THIS VERTIGO! HAD TO GO TO THE DR FIRST THING MONDAY MORNING AND GET 3 SHOTS IN THA REAR...AND FINALLY I COULD KEEP FLUIDS DOWN. SO I'M GOING ON W/ MY PRE-OP (LOW RESIDUE) DIET...I'D BE FEELING PRETTY GOOD IF I WASNT SO DIZZY! I'M TRYING TO sleep IT OFF THE BEST I CAN ;( NOT WORKING SO FAR. I'M PRAYING THAT IT'S GONE BY SATURDAY :) KEEPING MY FAITH.

    SO...ARE YOU A JANUARY 2010 BANDSTER?? I'D LOVE TO KEEP IN TOUCH ;)

    if i dont do something i'm gonna have a heart attack or eat myself to death!

    #8. Concerns and questions? never been put to sleep before...scared of that. nervous as can be...but i know im in the best hands...God's hands :)

I am on a low residue diet just this week before my surgery (Surgery day January 16th) ...4 days i have to Eliminate nuts, high Fiber breads and cereals, raw fruits and vegies and limit milk products. I then have to mix Miralax in 6-8oz Water or juice twice a day then at bedtime take 1 dulculax tablet. I've been eating chicken Soup, chicken noodle soup, white bread w/ jelly, Jello, ice pops, juice (no pulp), i went to mayo clinic and found a "low residue diet" big help :) the day before my surgery i'm on all liquids and more miralax til #2 is clear :thumbup: not looking forward to that...but guess it's all part of the process. Hope this helps :)

  6. My surgery is January 16th :frown: I'm excited, scared and nervous!! I start a 1 week pre-op on Monday Jan. 12th. I've talked to ppl that ate the healthy choice frozen dinners the week of pre-op diet. My paperwork says 5 days b4 surgery to begin a " low residue diet" (eliminate nuts, high Fiber breads and cereals, raw fruitsw and vegetables and limit milk products). Also drink Miralax twice a day & take one dulcolax tablet daily at bedtime. Day b4 surgery clear liquid Breakfast, and continue Clear Liquids for the rest of the day. Then at 6pm mix remaining Miralax in 64 oz Water and slowly drink until #2 is clear :) Nothing to eat or drink after midnight!!

    Is there anyone out there with the same Preparations for surgery?? looks like a lot of Jello, fish, chicken & broth on my diet this week.........oh well......gonna be worth it in the long run :w00t:
