Well, where do I start.  I have been pretty much struggling with my weight since puberty.  The only time I've really been thin was the four years in high school.  When I went to college I gained the freshman 30 instead of the freshman 15 by Christmas break!  This started a dangerous relationship with diet pills that would last for the next decade.  I lost that 30 pounds easily but by the time I graduated college I was back up to about 140 pounds.  After I graduated and stopped walking so much on campus I put on another 35 pounds.  This put me up to 176 - at 5'4" that's a LOT!  Anyway, this was right around the time that the Phen-fen clinics were all the craze so I went on that diet and got back down to 136 pounds.  You know the rest of the story...each time I went off the pills the weight came back on plus some extra.  I met my husband and got married in 1998 weighing around 150 and looking pretty good.  About 2 years after this I became pregnant and got up to 208.  I lost it all quickly after the birth but then it came right back again plus about 5 extra.  Fast forward about 8 years and I have had my third child and I am now weighing in around 236.  I don't have high blood pressure or diabetes but my feet and ankles hurt all the time.  I'm so tired of shopping in the "fat girl" section.  I'm tired of being the "fat sister" or the "fat daughter" or whatever...I had my first consultation yesterday and could possibly have the surgery during Christmas break since I have two weeks off then.  I'm so excited that I might finally be thin again!
