  1. Delliflower, you have lost 94lbs in 6 months! Be happy and celebrate your success. You'll keep at it, just be patient.
  2. oh my goodness, so proud of all of you!!! And jealous of those in the onederlands. I'm still 15lbs away from that. Everyone has done such an amazing job and should be so proud of themselves, I certainly am of all of you.
  3. Dreaming, congratulations! That is huge, way to go. I hope I can join you there in a few months. Claire, I do not have that alien, sorry. Can you talk to you doctor about it?
  4. My doc did not suggest the detox. I'm just doing it for fun (if you can call it that). It's through Arbonne, if you are familiar with that line. Oh and I did give the nutritionist the details of it today and she was fine with it all.
  5. ryn2bthin, GREAT job on making your goal!!! Happy 6 months. gone by pretty fast hasn't it? You look amazing. I had my 6 mo c/u today and they were very pleased. I'm down almost 80lbs. I'm on my cycle so I think I was a little higher than normal today. It's all good though. My blood work all came back great too. I'm doing a 28 day detox/cleanse and that has got me motivated again. I'm only on day 5, but definitely making good choices!
  6. Sammy, down 91 lbs, that is fantastic!!! Way to go!
  7. Erin, you look fabulous!!! So happy for you. Like Janette, I don't think I'll be wearing a bikini w/out plastic surgery! Claire, glad you had a nice time in Italy. You are such the traveler! How are you about to get so much time off from work? Like you, my weight loss has slowed way down. I've started back up at the gym and hope that will get me going again.
  8. My boobs are shrunken sweat socks.
  9. bran, you look so great! Miller you too! Tammy, sorry about the carb craving. Did you have any recently? I find the cravings go away if I don't have any, and if I don't drink.
  10. Dreaming, when you spoke to you doctor about the hormones, what kind of doctor was it? Did they actually do a hormone blood check on you? You might want to consider to have that done if you haven’t. I’m not sure how old you are, but peri menopause can start pretty early. Wallflower of course you are welcome with us! I did get my hair cut and my hair dresser commented on my hair loss being like that of someone who did GBP! She does not know I did that, just told her I’ve lost a lot of weight quickly. I cut 4 inches off to help with the weight of the hair and that has helped. Leigh, I’m so sorry for all your troubles, sounds like a really rough journey for you. I hope that things are stable now for you and you don’t have any more set backs. How much have you lost? Deanna, I agree with everyone else, don’t sweat the small stuff. Enjoy life and do things in moderation. Never apologize for ranting, that is what we are here for! Claire, loved your honest and open post. Thank you for your candid support for all of us! Erin, you and your g/f look so amazing. So proud of both of you! You look like you are at goal, can’t believe you have 30 to go! I too cannot tolerate sugar, and in fact am scared to try much. I also stay away from carbs as much as I can.
  11. My hair loss is out of control. I hate it. Even my hair dresser was amazed how much was coming out. I just cut 4 inches off to help with the weight (of the hair). I'm trying not to blow it dry or even brush it much, I just scrunch it up and wear it wavy. I know this will pass, but with ~80lbs still to go, it freaks me out a bit!
  12. That is awesome all your clothes fit! Show some pics!
  13. So great to hear from everyone. Really sounds like you all are doing great on your journeys. I need to start back in exercising. Haven't done much since I got the cast off my foot. I am slowly losing, but definitely at a less rate than a couple months ago. Wine is not helping. I think I'm about 69lbs down and that is from surgery date of 2/3. For breakfast I usually have a protein drink once I get to work. If I'm unusually hungry in the morning, I'll have an egg and a sliver of avocado. Lunch most of the time is a salad, packed with protein (chicken, egg, beans, hummus, etc). I sometimes get one larger salad at my work cafe then eat half for lunch and half for dinner (if I'm working late). I try not to eat past 6 o'clock and my dinner varies a ton. Sometimes it's just a quest bar, others it's what my family is having, or leftover lunch as I mentioned. I have not been logging my food anymore. I know it's something I need to get back to as that is when I am most successful. I am in ketosis (state of fat burning) as I have no sugar or carbs for the most point. One fun NSV for me is I'm starting to feel and see my collar bones!!!
  14. I think I dumped! I ate a protein bar that had sugar alcohol in it. I've had other things with a little sugar alcohol before and it makes me nauseous. And I've had this particular protein bar before, but today it took me over the edge. As soon as I ate it, I felt so sick (nauseous) and then I started to just feel icky. I had to put my head down on my desk at work a few times. After about an hour, I decided to go home early and boy am I glad I did. As soon as I started to get up and get ready to leave, I realized I was going to have a bad potty experience. Mad it home thankfully, and ran to the bathroom for an explosion! Sorry TMI. I feel fine now, but wow, that was crazy! So was that truly dumping? I think it was, but not having it happen before, I don't truly know!
  15. Dellieflower, you are doing amazing! Way to go. Jeanette you are so creative with your recipes and non flavored protein powder. I am in a rut and need to spice things up and start to cook more. My weight loss is going slow the last couple of weeks. Hoping to start exercising more next week and get back into losing consistently.
  16. ryn2bthin. you look amazing!!! I think you should definitely tell you doc about your current exercise routine and see if they are still ok with 50-60g of protein. My doc is more on the 60-80 side, but all docs are a little different. Have you tried doing a protein shake for breakfast? That is what I do and works well for me! I do the Costco premier protein (30g) or pure protein (35g) and it fills me up till lunch time. Dreaming, can you get in any protein at this point in the day? That would really help with the hunger. Erin that dinner sounded delish, so weird you dumped! How much honey mustard did you have? What happened with your dump exactly? I'm still trying to figure out if I've dumped or not. I don't think so. Tonight we went out to dinner and I ordered a thai chicken satay appetizer. I was able to eat 2 of the chicken skewers (they were about 2 inches long) with the PB sauce, yummy! I don't do great with my veggies and rarely eat fruit.
  17. ryn2bthin, how much protein are you getting in? I would think with your exercise routine you would need to be on the higher side of the protein. I do think your weight loss it awesome!
  18. Aloha Claire! Have a wonderful time! Where will you be exactly in Maui? I've been to Napili Kai many times. Such a long trip for you, hope the plan rides go fine.
  19. Claire I hope you escape the hair loss!
  20. Erin you look so great!!! So glad your scale is moving again and you've done better with bad habits. I do like the P3's also, they are great for me for lunch if I need something convenient. I can eat the whole thing though if I go slow enough over about 30 minutes.
  21. Zom, that is fantastic!!!! So proud of you. Wallflower, it's totally normal for the weight loss to slow down and then catch up, etc. They said you don't really start loosing on a consistent basis until 12 weeks. Then from then to 6-9 months, it's pretty consistent. RR, you might want to stick to more soft or even pureed foods still. I couldn't have chicken until 6 weeks I think. Yes, it WILL get better, the first 6 weeks are tough! I now can drink all the Water I want as fast as I want. Sammy, I think I got my cycle pretty early after the surgery, like earlier than I expected. But it's hard for me to know for sure as I don't actually bleed as I've had an ablation. I do get constipated sometimes, but I take a stool softener 3X a week to help and that seems to be effective most of the time. I have joined the hair loss club!!! I"m not happy about it either. This has happened to me in the past before with rapid weight loss, so it was expected. I've been VERY good about my Protein as well. I think it's just part of the shock to the body. My doc says it will stop around 9 months and will grow back (which I know it does). In the meantime I am using generic Rogaine from costco, which I did before and made a huge difference!
  22. Great job Claire, that is so awesome!
  23. RR, so glad you made it home safely!!! Sounds like your recovery is going fantastic! Zom, that is so amazing, so proud and happy for you!
  24. Erin, nice to hear from you! I friended you on FB. Looking forward to your update. ReaRaes, you are going to do great!! Try not to worry. I know easier said than done. Are you sure you will be in for 3 nights? They originally told me two, but then I got released after 1. Can your husband drive up and get you? Good luck with the gatorade diet, that sounds wild.
