  1. I have had a lot of changes since surgery...I went from not knowing if I would have a job to having a job, but traveling 50min to it to getting promoted as a manager and moving 2.5 hours away from family. I went from Sept to December without seeing my doctor due to timing and new promotion, but since Dec 27th (got a small fill) I have lost 9 pounds! I feel like this last fill made a difference! I'm so happy and hope to start seeing progress! I'm hoping that also when the w...

  2. Thanks for responding! I'm sure with fighting with all the new changes can easily make one to start smoking again, but remember just like with food addictions forgive yourself and each day is a new day! Good Luck and will continue to follow up on ya!

  3. Hey how is bandland going? I know you get your first fill here in couple of weeks, things going good for you? Did you by chance tell any of your co-workers? Just wondering how the balance of life is going for ya with bandland.

  4. I know what your saying....my appetite has increased, but still not what it was so I do feel some benefit of feeling full with the fill, but only because I visually look at what I'm eating and saying I should only eat this amount because once i get it filled it will be harder to eat only 1/2 cup of food. My doctor didn't really put any restriction on my food really, but just said my biggest battle between now and my first fill is not to gain the weight I've lost so far....and so far I've been able to hold study, but mon thru fri I go on the treadmill and walk at least 2.25 miles so. Now I'm just trying to make good food choices. Only really getting in a protein drink in the morning and the half of a protein drink mid afternoon if I'm luck on that second one! So how is your days like as far as protein intake and all? My next appt is the 24th hoping thats when I will get my first fill!

  5. How ya feeling? Did that help you at all? I know its rough but it will turn around for you!

  6. Hey! I know it can be discouraging not to loose a lot of weight after getting the band, but really I think the first mo. its a psychological stuff we learn and we heal. Our true month to loose is after we get our first fill! I walked 2.5 miles today and trying to maintain my portion control with my band and pray that the fill comes in two weeks! I hope that I continue to loose a little bit, but if I don't I will just have to deal with the fact my body is holding on to what it can until the fill! Have a Happy Mothers Day if I don't talk to you again before sunday!

  7. Hey! I don't blame you for not really doing a pre opt diet before surgery considering you do have like a whole mo after the band to have a "diet" to follow! Plus its amazing that you haven't gained any weight back either....I truely believe that all this pre opt and post opt stuff is to prepare us mentally for the band so when the fill is there we don't have to fight with ourselves as much mentally on portions and everything! You have a happy mothers day as well if I don't talk to you before sunday!

  8. CONGRATULATIONS!!! Glad to hear you are reaching your goals~!

  9. I go see the doctor Monday and I do believe then I hope when he schedules me for two more weeks out that is when I will get my first fill! Have you been eating soft foods then? I was suppose to be on full liquids until monday then I would graduate to soft foods, but I was so starving that I couldnt wait any longer I had to eat and so thats what I have been doing, but truely watching my portions. I eat have of what is normal or actually it is probably normal but not to what I use to eat. so far I haven't had problems with anything going down my band yet, but then again I think they try to get you mentally prepared for the band so thats why they have a post opt diet. I just started it a 5 days early from the full liquid to soft foods part.

  10. Hey! How you doing? Ive seen some of your posts and notice today that its been 6 days for you. Just some small words of encouragement from me, but I hope today is going good for you. Didnt know how long you have taken off work or what have ya, but I wish you well on this journey!

  11. So is everything going ok with you? I've lost 22 pounds so far. I went on the treadmill today for 2.5 miles. I'm trying to get back to normal on exercising knowing that is what is going to help me to my goal. Have a Happy Mother's Day if I don't talk to you before then!

  12. YAY! I just found out that I got approved for my insurnace to cover my surgery! I can't wait! I will call my doctor tomorrow to schedule it ASAP! I'm so EXCITED!

  13. Hey how ya doing? i love reading some of your posts, you definately made me qrack up when you said you were taking 2 1/2 weeks off and being happy to be the biatch at the house and help the family out! Thats just simply great!lol

  14. How ya doing? Its been a while so I thought since I hadn't seen any new posts from ya or anything that I would just ask you myself! Hope all is well!

  15. Hello! I know what you mean as far as gaining weight. I had a full hysterectomy two years ago and I gained about 50-60pounds after that. I also hope we can be an encouragement to each other! I got Monday to the doctor and then on the 13th I go and have my testing. I'm so excited for you that you have a week left for the final countdown! Yippey!

  16. Hope your doing better! I can't believe you walked a mile after the band! Thats amazing! I would say don't over due it, but I would be the same way! Take Care!

  17. Hey! I'm glad you are doing okay! Its amazing that you have waited this long and it came and went so fast in a matter of a few hours! Now its the lifelong journey! Take Care!

  18. I know what you mean as far as the dreams....its just the not know of how its going to be when you get out of surgery and all. All of us on here have completely over analyze everything which makes us almost borderline psycho I think! Anyways I think overall cheating a little bit is ok what is two weeks going to change really and I don't think the doctor is really going to know you sneaked here and there. More than anything don't beat yourself up and tomorrow is a new day! Ultimately thats why we are having the band so eventually its not going to be THIS hard to loose. Talk to you soon! Good luck!

  19. Oh no! I am so sorry to hear! That has to be so fustrating for you! I know you must have anger feelings at yourself as well as the doctor for scheduling it out to May, but at least you don't have to worry about fighting infection complications that can make the experience even worse! I feel for you so much because I know how I would feel! I hope you can at least eat something you can enjoy for a few days before you must go back on the diet!

  20. Hey how are you doing? Just thinking about you!

  21. Before my surgery I had lost 13pounds. Im excited and hoping to loose more considering on a two week liquid diet and all. Tomorrow I will be going to the gym to slowly work my way back to the workout I was doing before the surgery (4 1/2)miles. Glad you took the time to enjoy your family and I'm sure that it was much appreciated you cleaning and cooking while you were off!! Each day I'm feeling better, but can't wait for my stomache to go down from being blown up! Just doesn't seem like its happening as fast as I would like it to because I feel like I'm pregant with it still being kinda of big! Talk to you later! Thanks

  22. Hey! I was suppose to be on a liquid diet for two weeks but I started eating soft foods 5 days early. The doctor himself said most people can not wait that long. I did see that if you eat mash potatoes that can be filling for you if your still on liquids and all. I first tried scrambled eggs. Now I can eat just about anything but I watch my porportions. I get filled monday and can't wait. I have lost so far close to 25 pounds all together! Hoping that I don't gain any of it back by next monday!

  23. Wish you luck! and again things will get better. I do feel fullness, but almost back to normal....just trying to watch my porportions thats all. Take care have a good evening!

  24. Im excited for you on the begining of he pre-op diet and getting the band! How are you doing today? So you trying to get mentally prepared for it all. I am too, but don't have a banded date yet, anyday now. Take care!

  25. Sorry about your loss.
