    Brenda

Brenda, that was over a couple of weeks. I haven't been very consistant on logging into here. But I'll take it any way I can get it. lol It hit 70 lbs lost this morning. I love my sleeve! You are doing great, congrats also. We'll get to our goals eventually.

  2. Wow! I love reading these!! They are so motivating! Could it be possible? I am squeezing into 24s now, by Christmas time could I really be feeling better, wearing smaller sizes? I can't wait to be sleeved next week! Thanks for your posts everyone!

    Kathy

Yes it's very possible! I was in 24's 6 months ago and I'm now in 12's and down 68 pounds! It will work.

  3. Highest Weight: 335 lbs

    Surgery Wieght: 322 lbs

    Current Wieght: 272 lbs

Not a bad week, the 1 lbs loss was on from Tuesday, then Thursday went on a business trip, one that usually I gained 5-10lbs due to the wining and dining that they do on these trips. So I wasn't watching my diet as closely. But with my wonderful sleeve I didn't gain a a lbs. YAHOO!!! Back to the high Protein and lots of Water.

Congrats Brenda!!! You are doing fantastic! :biggrin0:

  4. Wanted to update. Those feelings of forcing myself to eat have passed. food doesn't taste so awful anymore. I went through this phase for about 6 weeks and now it's passed. I am eating regular now and not feeling like I have to force it down. I still can only eat about 2 1/2 onces at best but at least now it tastes ok. We really do go through different phases with the sleeve, but it's all been great. I'm still losing very slowly but headed in the right direction.

  5. 4 months out....wow, so your moving right along..what are your suggestions and imput for the next 3 phases of the post op? are you able to eat much now? How do you know when enough is enough..do you measure your food? Would love your imput...

My suggestions woud be to follow your doctors orders to a T. There's a reason that they give them to us. I see where many people try to advance the eating stages and it can cause issues and harm to your sleeve.

I also suggest to constantly be drinking and sipping. It's really hard to get in all the fluids we should have. At first you have to take pretty tiny sips and your tummy will make weird noises, but later on it gets easier to drink. Now I can drink normal.

In the beginning I couldn't really tell when I was full, so I measured everythng I ate. I was allowed 2oz or 1/4 cup per meal, and that's basically what I ate. Sometimes after eating I would feel a weird feeling in my throat, but not the normal full feeling from past days. Now I don't need to measure much anymore as I can tell what portion size is correct. I also have the normal full feeling now in my stomach, however it took a few months before I had that feeling. I still am only able to eat about 2 to 2 1/2 onces per meal.

If you follow the rules, you will be successful with your sleeve. I pretty much eat anything I want now. I try very hard to keep my Calories between 600 - 800 per day and my carbs at 30 or lower.

Good luck, and keep us posted on how you are doing. If you have any more questions, just ask. You'll find tons of great people and advice on this board.

This week had a 5lbs lost this week, don't know if the new Shape-up shoes I bought last Sunday has made the difference, usually I only have 2-3 lbs lost a week but I'm likein' this bigger #. Plus the shoes are really comfortable, wear them all day everyday. It's like walking on clouds.

    Brenda

wow, 5 lbs is fantastic!!! :laugh0:

  7. Hi Bigga, welcome to the boards. I have family and friends that live in Abbeville and the surrounding areas. Congratulations on moving forward with surgery. From my point of view it's the best thing I have ever done for myself. I spent over 30 years dieting and losing only to gain it back plus more. This is a great gift and I can tell by your attitude that you will work it and do well. Best wishes to you and keep us posted!

  8. I'd like to hear from some of you in regards to your weekly weight loss. Can you give me an idea of the number of lbs. you lose a week?

Trinity, it really does vary from person to person. There are so many factors involved. Age, metabolism, diet, exercise. Some lose more rapidly than others do. The good thing is that we are all headed down. I'm 15 weeks out and have lost 53 lbs as of this morning.
