    I NEED HELP!

I have a similar schedule to yours, I am in school full-time working on a bachelor's degree and work full time. I find that the only way I can get in exercise is if I do it first thing in the morning. My gym opens up at 5am and I make sure that I am there because once my day gets going who knows how it will end up. I try to go atleast three days out of the week. I will tell you that it is EXTREMELY difficult at first but once you do it for awhile it becomes routine. You just have to think of it as you brush your teeth, wash your face and go to the gym. I hope this helps!
  6. You are so not alone! I'm in San Rafael 3 days a week - you can pm me if you want to talk - we can have lunch or something - just know we're all in this together :)

  7. I am not happy with my follow up care from the facility I got my lap band from(Banded Oct15, 2009). So I thought it would be easy to find a new physician, however, it has been VERY difficult. I keep being told that it would be in my best interest to continue the care with the facility that I got the surgery from? Has anyone had a difficult time switching doctors or finding doctors that will take on "other surgeons" patients? I feel like my doctor/surgeon doesn't care about my issues or questions, is always rushed, and I'am always waiting atleast 1hr beyond my appointment time every time I have went to see him. I have health insurance Blue Shield and I was told the same thing.

    issues with alcohol after surgery

I am experiencing the same problem right now. Prior to my surgery I never thought I had an alcohol problem, I never really drank that much but now it seems like I need to have a drink every night because it helps me relax and unwind. I'am trying to find other ways to help me cope when things get difficult for me.
  9. I want to thank you a sooooo much. Your referrals about where to go for support groups could not have come at a better time. I was banded at UCSF and have been on my own ever since. I will be contacting Kaiser and the other places. Again Thank You!

    Weightloss Challenge

I would love to join in. I'am currently 206lbs and am due for my first fill on January 13th. Lately I have been feeling sort of lost and this is just what I need to get refocused.
  11. I was banded on October 15th and went for my follow up appointment on November 5th . I was completely expecting to get my first fill, however, my doctor told me that I would have to wait until January before he would give me my first fill . How common is this? Everyday is such a struggle I'am trying my hardest to eat as little as possible. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
  12. I am new to this site and just ran up on your post. I know it's been two years but I was wondering if that support group is still going on?:tongue_smilie:
  13. I got banded On October 15th and really feel like I am going at this alone. The facility I got my surgery done at doesn't have good after care/support groups. My family and friends have been very supportive but I need to talk to people that are going through what I'am going through and can really relate. :tongue_smilie:

    I Miss Food...

I am two weeks out of surgery and it has been very difficult. In my first week I probably broke down in tears three times. It is this whole new way of life that you have to learn to live without any prep work. Be strong and keep reminding yourself of why u did this.
