Went to my preop appt today did some bw and went over everything .......still no liquid diet ..... only the day before is clear liquids...then water only for 5 days then protein shakes ....my drs office sells bariatric advantage crystals that u put in your water 2 times a day and then the only other vitamin u have to take is iron

I totally understand my stomach is in knots thinking my surgery is one week away ....ahhhhh my dr gave me xanax to take until surgery cause my anxiety is getting bad

Ok so u thought id give everyone an update of all the craziness that has gone on since my egd after er visits and drs everyday and ct scan etc on thursday my LB dr emptied anither 5cc of fluid out pf my band after the NP only took out 1cc on tuesday........he also gave me some xanax to help with the anxiety and finally thursday night i SLEPT ALL NIGHT! !!!! In my own bed without a stack of pillows and have felt soooo much better since ...he said that he thinks they scratched my esophogus during egd and possibly caused irritation to my band and stomach ....whatever it was im so happy it seems to be better i still have 2 go for another ct scan and pft on wed then on fri he will decide if im still on for the 16th which im pretty sure i will be since ive had no problems dince Thursday ....oh and another thing....i FINALLY COMPLETELY QUIT SMOKING! !!! havent had one since last tuesday and the few days before tuesday it was very little! .....i know may not seem like that long but ive never even quit for a day lol

I didn't need the PFT for clearance i had to go to the pulm. Because of the nodule on my lung

So frustrated....as ive posted in the past few days ive been having problems aince u had my egd last week ... So this am i get a call with results from my CT scan yesterday and she tells me i have a hernia and the dr wants to see me tomorrow to talk about it then says ok now dont freak out but you have a nodule on your lungs and need to see a pulmonologist and get a CT of my lungs so first i freaked out then called to see pulmonologist and went and saw him today and he scheduled me for CT and PFT next Wednesday and said the risk that my nodule is cancer is a low risk but i will have to be checked for at least 2 yrs but then he said i might have to postpone surgery if my nightcough doesn't go away!

Yes i am converting to RNY on april 16th i am taking all the meds i cant sleep with so many pillows but was able to sleep for a few hours in my chase lounge last night i will def try the benedryl tonight and as far as food ive barely been eating at all ive had toast with cream cheese and thats it for the past 2 days today im going to try just liquids only ...its just so frustrating because ive never had this problem and now 2 weeks before surgery im gonna go through hell ...im also worried now when i have the surgery im gonna cough like i am and hurt my new stomach right after surgery ....how long did it take to clear up after the revision?
