  1. I have a great and hard working man. He works massive hours and never complains. He helped raise the kids and doesnt drink or gamble. He is very supportive. BUT...his mom is here and is staying with us until December. He is eating this shit right up! I am not working so I usually make his meals for when he gets home. His mom has taken over and fixes him all his favorite things. He is now being waited on hand and foot by his mommy. He acts like a spoiled child. ;) I told him to not get too used to this cuz it WILL NOT continue when shes gone!!

    Lol

  3. Huge milestone for me last night lol...I got out of the shower dried off and decided to see how much further I had before I could wrap the towel around me and it actually close and it already does!!!! I haven't been able to do that since before I got pregnant 3yrs ago !!! I always just dry off and get dressed and don't even try or when I go swimming i just hold the towel in front of me because I don't want to be embarrassed that it won't reach around but now it does and I'm pretty excited haha I know some may not get it but its little things like this that make me feel like I'm on my way!

  4. That sounds terrible! Hope it was a isolated incident. I haven't had any at all since rny. I take Pepcid 2x a day. Maybe call your dr..I know the generic answer :) I don't think tums hurts tho. Calcium carbonate

After I wrote this I remembered it happened one other time a few weeks ago I just wish I could find something similar to know what caused it

  5. Mine would only have been bigger because of the slip and prolapse. If I'd had a normally placed and functioning band it would not have been an issue. Done in 2 steps I had an amazingly easy recovery from both surgeries and no complications at all. Trust my surgeons judgement after all this!!!

I just always get nervous that its not gonna work after failing with the band :( so I always think something ia gonna go wrong

  6. Ok hoping someone can help last night I woke up with terrible terrible heartburn I haven't had heartburn since before the lapband except when I had my scope done for preop for the rny and then I haven't had it since surgery ...I take omeprezole everyday as a precautionary as per my dr ...I didn't eat anything different or do anything that I can think can cause it but man was it bad I took 2 tums and it helped but I'm not even sure if we are supposed to take tums ...anyone else have this happen??

  7. My hair comes out by handfuls too luckily I have very thick hair to begin with so I hope it doesn't get too bad ...I remember this also happened with the lapband for a while then just stopped falling out one day. ..I'm also getting acne which SUCKS ! I haven't had acne in years lol hope that doesn't last long either but as long as the weight keeps coming off I'll deal with acne and some hair falling out lol

  8. I'm you're twin same story please don't get discouraged with a revision the weight loss is good first 5 months then slows way down we are different than straight bypass people. ..

I'm on my 4th month after revision and down 71lbs and worried about the weight loss slowing down and had heard revisions lose slower I'm curious why? I asked my dr and he said because most revsions have lost their initial weight with their first surgery and then a large amount after revision because of the liquid diet after ....but I weighed more when I had my rny then I did when I had my band so I'm hoping I don't slow down too much or else I feel like I'll never get to my goal weight :(

  9. Hi friends!

Had my surgery on 17 april.

Just thought i'd give you an update and ask how i am doing in sync with the rest of our group.

I am down 75 pounds. I feel and know it could be more' date=' because i dont really have an exercise routine and i am considering options to up that.

I am doing ok with Water but sometimes forget my vits, especially over weekends.

I eat quite little and dont think i consume enough Protein.< /p>

I dont really dump however i can get the stuck feeling quite easily. I am fine with chocolates! It is terrible and great at the same time!

I am struggling mentally (totally off my anxiety and depression meds and think it might have a big influence) and it helps to be able to eat some chocolate.< /p>

Obviously not nearly as much as before op. it bothers me but it also keeps me sane, you know?

My hear has been falling out quite a lot the last few weeks and with that my skin has gone haywire. I have terrible adult acne now! Anyone else experiencing this.

    Something i can do?

    How are you all doing?

    X[/quote']

Hello...I had my surgery the day before you and am down 70lbs...so 75lbs sounds great to me :) I also am not excercising regularly...I try and then get bad pains in my hip and knee so my dr keeps saying as I lose more weight ill be able to do more so I'm hoping hes right

I do good with Vitamins but sometimes have a hard time with my water intake but I drink as much as I can each day

I can eat small amounts of chocolate too ...its good and bad at the same time lol so far I've been good with everything except milk it made me nauseas

My hair.is falling out like crazy luckily I have a lot of thick hair so u cant tell unless u look at my bathroom floor after I do my hair haha

  10. I started losing weight 2 months before surgery. I lost about 39 lbs before. But have just been really sticking to the smaller portions but have been trying little bites of things. Not really any secret' date=' just hardly any carbs and a lot of seafood.[/quote']

Oh ok gotcha well that's awesome wwight loss so far! We are close to rhe same weight and weight loss ...I was 363lb day of surgery and am now 293lb so I'm down 70lbs but I didn't lose any prior to surgery :( I wish I would have but my band was so bad some days I lived on chips and ice cream cuz nothing went down
