  1. Happy 42nd Birthday CarrieLynn!

  2. I don't know if you remember me or not...but I wanted to see how your doing...two years in! I've met my goal just last week.

  3. 2 years has passed since you registered at LapBandTalk! Happy 2nd Anniversary CarrieLynn!

    Discouraging friends anyone?

I too am a slow looser. I'm just over a year and down 43 pounds. 40 to go. I get lots of negative feed back as well. But I now have come to realize they can kiss my a$$. I felt this was the right for me. Thankfully I have a Sister in Law and a very good friend on this journey with me. They both have lost over 100# and look amazing. Way to go bansters!!
  5. Susan I was banded 8-3-09. LOL I weighted 208 as well. I'm 5'2". And your doing quite well compared to me. I'm down 43 pounds. I have 40 more to go to my goal. I too got rid of all my fat clothes. I was afraid that having them I would go back to them. This way I refuse to buy a bigger size. Only smaller. I have Wii fit and got bored with it to today my hubby bought me the Biggest Looser. I'm telling you just 1/2 an hour today and I'm feeling it! =) Please stay in touch!
  6. Great news! I was a little slow at getting started. But I'm 171# today! I think I am at my sweet spot. I eat approx 1/4 to 1/2 cup per meal. Usually something easy. I tried scrambled egg today, and it is NOT my friend! I'm still learning. I'm so glad I went through with this. I am hoping to reach my goal by my 40th birthday which is in October.
  7. I'm sorry your having to deal with these things.... Personally my marriage is still very stable....and behind the scene I feel better about myself! I'm willing to listen if you just need to vent!
  8. Now that its warmer in my area I've started walking. and my poor lil fat beagle is adjusting well!
  9. I have noticed that everyday is different. What I ate yesterday I may not tolerate tomorrow. I vomit, well not vomit but productive belch at least every day. I'm still learning to chew...this is the first adjustment I've acutally had restriction!
  10. I don't excercise as per "go to the gym, run 5 miles". But I don't lay around either. I am a House wife /mom of older teens. My husband is on the road 10 days at a time. I watch what I eat...I don't lay and eat bon bons...but yes I have an occasional kiddy cone from DQ and a random cup cake. I know thats horrible but I do cheat! Your right the slower it comes off the better chance we have in it staying off. I just get so fustrated. If I wanted to diet or could do it by diet I wouldn't have had the dang band done!!
  11. I have pretty much the same restrictions as you Susan. bread of any kind, (muffins, bagles, toast). I too eat a lot of Soup and oatmeal. I can't eat nuts, like a handful of walnuts, almonds Nope! meat isn't an issue. But NO steak. I do alot of ground chicken/turkey. NO fish...it gets stuck. I'm down approximately 23-24 pounds. I get so discouraged. I've been at this weight since December. minus 1 or 2 here and there. Its just such a slow process. I feel like I'm all alone but I see your right here with me!
  12. another .3cc taking me to a total of 3.8cc. I feel a little more restriction but I don't believe its my sweet spot yet.

  13. still stuck. . . had 3rd adjustment on Tuesday. . . another .

  14. The good Lord gave you a body that can stand most anything. It's your mind and motivation you have to convince. You must begin to think of yourself as becoming the person you want to be. Let that person who is inside come out and see the world. Take it one day at a time. Happy Holidays. PS: Update me on your progess

  15. I was banded in August and I'm down a total of 20 pounds. I had my second and last fill on Oct 27. I've not lost but maybe 2 pounds since then. I am hungery. I don't tolerate any form of bread well at all, I feel as if I'm choking to death. Am I too tight already. . . or do I need a fill. I've got a total of 3.5cc:confused:
