I have Aetna and located in Missouri. My plan required a 6 mo medically supervised diet without a net gain from start to finish. I had no trouble getting approved. I understand there are different tiers when it comes insurance, so it's possible to have different requirements. I was sleeved on May 9th and had my first follow up today. Everything looks great and progressing well. Moving on to the next phase.

Congrats to you all on your journeys! I had my vsg on Monday, May 9th. Doing really well. No hunger, having a rough time with getting enough Protein and Water everyday. Taking it one day at a time.

My surgery was May 9th and have been doing good. I have that same bubbling, gurgling feeling when I drink. The burp hurts but it passes quickly. Not much pain. I am struggling getting the Protein in.

Sleeved yesterday May 9.

Doing great so far. Little to no pain. Heartburn is terrible but going home with a liquid antacid.. pain meds...nausea meds

My surgery date is May 9th this coming Monday. I would love to keep in touch with people who are getting sleeves around the same time as well. I am currently in the 2nd week of my Doctor's required Liver shrink liquid diet. Can you say hard?

How are you doing so far? Did you have any pre-op requirements?

I am having my sleeve on May 10th. I am having a lot of problems on my pre-op diet. Im just so hungry

Omgoodness! The past 2 days have been pretty hard for me. I've had to stay busy. I have two little boys and cooking is not an option sooooo I've been..... in the kitchen every.single.night.

Surgery set for May 9.

I'm definately feeling the nerves! Today was day 8 on the pre-op liquid diet. I ain't gonna lie, it's hard.... doable BUT hard! Having little ones to care after and feed make it that much harder. I don't even want to go into the kitchen, but ya gotta do what ya gotta do.

1st week: 2 Protein shakes and 1 small meal 700-800 cal per day.

2nd week: 3 Protein Shakes along with sf Jello, pudding, slim milk, sf popsicles..etc keep under 800 cal.

I'm so excited to see how everyone is doing. May 9th can't get here soon enough!!

I totally understand! October until now has been a journey in itself. My surgery day is Monday 5/9 as well. Maybe we can keep in touch. Good luck!
