1. So, it sounds like you really fell off the wagon. JUMP BACK ON!!!! Dig up the info from your NUT or find it online. Start over. Stay away from BURGER KING! If it will help you, start over from day one! maybe even get a fill. Do a day or 2 of liquids, then several days of mushies. Of course approved lapband foods only. If you want a kick in the ass, I'm sure there are plenty of Bansters here at LBT that will provide that kick for you. Take all the replys as something you need to help give you that kick start. I am sure you can do what needs to be done. NOW DO IT!
2. Patty, I'm sure you will always be pro-life and I will always be pro-choice. I do not think I am taking this off topic because it has been mentioned many times here. I just want to give you props for all of your efforts in foster care and adoption. I believe you have been a postive part in many children's lives. I think it is great that there are people like you who offer these kids love, family and a solid foundation that they may not have had without you.

4. I can only speak from my own experience, but after having my son naturally through a regular vaginal birth, I can not imagine why anyone would choose a C-section. I only felt labor for a total of 4 hours and did not use any type of block anesthesia. My baby and I went home 6 hours after I gave birth. I healed very quickly after. My pain and healing time was much worse after the last 2 of the four surgeries I've had. (lapband being the last) A woman's body is made to give birth. It goes back to the way it was before childbirth. Again, I speak from my own experience. I do understand that if there is some sort of complication, a C-section must be done. I just do not understand how anyone would choose it if they were truly educated on the differences.
5. I agree with this. For me, it would be too drastic for just 55 lbs. 8 fills and no restriction? something sounds wrong with that to me. How much did they put in at each fill? I am almost too tight after just 2 fills. You can see my amounts below. Maybe they put a large band in you when you needed a standard. I would explore all aspects of what could be going on with the band before you take more drastic measures. I hope all goes well for you. Let us all know what comes of it. Have they taken out the Fluid to see how much is really in there? Maybe you have a leak?
6. My scars are already a very light pink. I have one that is 1 inch and 4 that are just puncture marks. I would do it again. I would much rather be 115 pounds thinner with a few tiny scars than have a big fat belly with no scars.
7. Chili ...... yum! high in protein too!
8. I agree with you. I look at LBT daily. I think it is so helpful just to read and see what is going on with other Bandsters. Great for learning and support.
9. Am I a scale whore if I only weigh one time almost every morning?
10. Six month to a year from now, when I'm at goal, will this be me? Will I be blogging, "I am now five pounds under my original goal weight and I am getting used to my new shiny bald head."? I dread the thought of how I will look if any more hair falls out! I have tried everything, and I do mean everything, to stop the dreaded WLS hairloss! I supplement my protein, take biotin, multi vitamins, B12, B complex, Nioxin vitamins, use Nioxin shampoo & conditioner, take other remidies for hairloss ......... The list goes on and on, but NOTHING HELPS! Should I start shopping for wigs and hats now? I already have a large collection of shoes so that I have the proper shoe to match outfits. Now will I need a hat in every color and style? Visions of The Cat in The Hat, thing 1 & thing 2 and the two children keep dancing around in my head. The room is filling up with hats! I have heard that nothing tastes as good as thin feels. Will being thin feel better than being a bald woman? Will I eventually accept the fact that I no longer have my golden silky locks? Will my ears look big? Oh my gosh, will I need to get earings to match the hats? Will people look at me and ask what the prognosis is? Will I be subjected to melon head and bald jokes? Will I look as cute as Britney and Demi do bald ? I think NOT! Maybe I will try out new styles, lengths and colors. Will I find out if blondes have more fun? It is so frustrating ! It makes me want to pull my hair out! oops! bad choice of words. Better not do that!

12. Maybe they punctured your port or the tube that leads to the band at the last fill and now you have a leak? I sure hope not, but it does sound a little strange that you have less restriction now.
13. I'm not in Australia, but wanted to offer help :cursing:
14. I agree (but for me it is less than 1 cup). I have good restriction right now. I am hungry, then I eat, then I am no longer hungry for hours.
15. AspenA, give us an update. How are things going with this?
16. I had acid reflux problems that were caused by a hyatial hernia. The hernia was repaired during the lapband surgery and the reflux problem was solved. I work in the dental field and have seen many people with damaged teeth caused by acid reflux and vomiting. The damage can be pretty severe before the patient even realizes what is happening. It will be different for every patient depending on many factors like how strong your enamel is in the first place, how long plaque sits on the teeth, and how much acid exposure there is. For example, a patient with bulimia will get many cavities and have very inflamed gums caused by the constant exposure to stomach acid. The best way to prevent this is to stop the acid exposure. If that is not possible, or the damage is already happening, extra fluoride may help some. I'm talking about more fluoride than is in your normal toothpaste. Fluoride rinses can be found over the counter or you can get a Rx for paste or rinse. Topical fluoride (paste/rinses) help keep the enamel strong from the outside. After throwing up you should rinse with baking soda and Water to help neutralize the acid. It will not prevent all the damage because once the acid contacts the teeth, a 20 minute acid attack begins, but at least it will help neutralize the acid and decrease the changes of more severe damage. Everyone should go to the dental office every 6 months.
17. I think a week is a pretty good plan, but you never know how you will react from the anesthesia or the surgery. I had a 4 day migraine from the anesthesia, so was glad I took off an entire week.
18. I was told it is the size of a straw or a pencil . If the stoma was as large as the opening of a water bottle, what would be the point of chewing so much? Food that was only chewed a little bit would easily go through.
19. I'm surprised too, but that's great it's higher :cursing:
20. My Doc told me of a person that had to have surgery to remove a pill that was taken whole. That was enough to make me follow his rule of never swallowing a pill. I would think they would do an unfill first. I am lucky I was not taking and Rx meds.
21. I don't count calories, but do try to avoid high cal foods. If I look back at what I normally eat in a day, I stay well below 1000 calories. My band is pretty tight, so I stay full with 3 "meals" a day.
22. I agree with this. The puffed wheat is what expands and that is how they make you feel full. I know it's a drag to throw things away, but I find myself doing it all the time. Maybe give them to a friend or co-worker.
23. I agree with ym. I'm sure you will stay on top of it. I know it is hard to ask others for help, but you may need to start looking for another ride .... just in case.
24. Yes, this sounds normal to me. It will get much better as you heal.
