1. I agree with this. The thing I miss the most is going out to eat at my favoirte places and ordering whatever I want off the menu. But I do not miss it as much as I thought I would. It feels so much better dropping the weight. Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels?
2. I went for at least a year pre-band without ever getting on a scale. I knew I would not be happy with the numbers and I would just beat myself up. Now post band, I weigh about 5-6 times a week and it feels great to do it! I always weigh naked just before I get in the shower. I may wait a day or 2 before I update my ticker just to make sure that pound or 2 is really gone.
3. the sublingual anti-nausea meds they gave me made me gag and get nausea from the gagging. Some people really like them tho. I had the patch behind my ear, but not sure how much that helped. Time was the only thing that really helped me. Hang in there.
4. I agree, very cool! I too would love to see anything that comes of it. I have not done or been asked to do anything like that. My self confidence is not high enough at this point. I was mortified when the office where I work wanted to post pics of all the staff on it's home page. But I am so happy for you ! You go girl! It sounds like great motivation for you.
5. The word "meal" is just getting on my nerves lately. I have not eaten a "meal" since July 2009 ! I think It's great I can only eat 1/2 cup of solid food 3 times a day, but I wouldn't call it 3 "meals" a day. To me it seems like 3 healthy snacks a day. The weightloss is great ! But that word just seems like an oxymoron or something !

7. My hight 5' 7". My goal weight is 150 lbs. I chose this number because it is where I was comfortable in past years. A little lower than 150 would be great, but I am trying to be realistic too. I also think bone structure plays a role. My feet are small for my hight and my wrists are small in my opnion (6" at this point and still obese). You have to take in to account your body shape. Even at my lowest adult weight of 130 lbs, my hips and thighs were wider than other women at the same weight. I will never wear "boy shorts" or have "boy hips". That is just a fact and I accept it. My Dr. did not say anything about my goal weight. I was simply over a BMI of 40 and he agreed I needed the band.
8. Try some warm sugar free jello. You know, make up the jello and drink a little before putting it in the fridge to set. I have used this since childhood at times of illness and it really works great.
9. Ah yes, the 'ol Pot/Kettle humor. I had a good chuckle as soon as you posted it ! :w00t:
10. My friend had many many large ones surgically removed. It would be worth asking your surgeon about. Why not remove them while they are poking around in there anyway. It's my understanding that they will grow and become painful when they are against bone.
11. If you can't stand the heat get out of the kitchen? just don't say F U on your way out
12. not my best pic either , but just seeing if I can get it to work 18640
13. I was not forced to marry young. I was just "wise beyond my years due to life experience"
14. I have no problem figuring it out. I too was married at the age of 15 and had a baby at 17. The problem is the arrogance.
15. I can't think of anyone I know with the life experience of someone in their 60s (and I know many) who would respond like that.
16. It would be nice to know how to do it either way. Computers are not my specialty and I tend to get frustrated fast trying to figure things out. My son helps me out sometimes, but LBT is my own thing.
17. It really sounds like you are at your sweet spot. I hope you are. You just may feel a little too tight for longer than you expected, but the weight will start coming off better. I want to take off at least 114 lbs total. I want to be at 150 lbs. I am 5'7", but have very small bone structure I think. Maybe even 140 lbs. I was about 130 lbs when I met my husband, but don't think that weight is realistic. ...plus with the extra skin I will have.....
18. You wait until you are 60 then look back all those years to when you were 29 and say to yourself, "I didn't know half of what I thought I knew."

20. bump/subscribe just trying to figure out how to put pics in posts and blogs later
21. Goalwatcher, After my last fill it took a little longer for me to work my way back in to more foods. The few important things I watched for were coughing at night, acid reflux, and the ability to eat/drink full liquids. I think it is so different for everyone with the sweet spot. I have stayed very tight from my 2nd fill in September. Others may have gone back for an unfill. If I had the night coughing and stuff I would have had a tiny unfill, but I am doing ok with being pretty tight. How much have you lost?
22. I chew sugarfree gum often. My doc is ok with it and it doesn't make me hungry at all. I never swallow it. You will find many different opinions on this one.
23. Right now it's just one pound at a time. I'll have to think of a new mini goal. Thanks everyone
