On 7/24/08 I was 224.8 lbs now I am 160lbs and I feel great I have lost approximately 60lbs...I am 41yr female married female with 2 children that I had by C-section.  I have been overweight most of my adult life but my husband loved me just the way I was.  I have tried every diet known to man and woman!!!  I was extremely tired all the time and I have high blood pressure on both sides of my family.  Destined for heart problems if I didn't do something to control my weight and blood pressure.  My heart had become enlarged.  I was frustrated and overwhelmed because I had my 2nd daughter when I was 38 yrs old.  Although I did not gain much weight during my pregnancy, I was overwhelmed with how my body looked and felt.  I tried changing my diet and exercising.  I lost a little weight because I was also breast feeding.  After I went back to work and could not breast feed or pump as often as I had been while on maternity leave.  When I went back to work, I started to regain the weight I had lost while on maternity leave with my daughter.  I felt hopeless, ashamed and very tired!!!!  I found a coupon for True Results and I called them for a free evaluation.  I went in March 2008 and met with the staff and they explained the process and that was the beginning of my weight loss journey.  I went to meetings and met with a nutrionist.  My body was holding on to the weight no how many changes I made.  I was execising and eating better but still on menial changes.  I would weigh in and 1lb loss or 3 lbs loss.  I resolved that I would be fat and unhealthy forever.  In June 2008 my insurance approved me for surgery and my date had been set!!!! I chose Dr. Richard Benavides as my surgeon and when I met him I knew I had made the right choice.  Dr. Benavides explained in detail how my life would change how I would not be able to eat as much as I ate before.  How food choices would need to change and I felt very comfortable taking the risk of having surgery.  That's saying a lot because nothing is guaranteed when you have surgery!!!  I am so GRATEFUL for Dr. Benavides care and the care of his staff.  I am blessed to have had this surgery and the positive changes it's had on me and my family.
