  1. Okay so I work out 40 minutes of cardio in the mornings. I'm working my way slowly up to an hour. I am now going to start lifting in the evenings as well probably about 20-30 minutes starting out, nothing hardcore or heavy. I just want to do some lightweight toning, small weights, leg exercises and situps..etc.

My question being I just recently moved my calories up to 1200 because I was only eating 1000 but I saw a huge stall on the scale and figured I wasn't eating enough. Should I leave it at 1200? Or will the lifting in the evenings cause me to need to increase my calories too?

    Thanks for your input!

Can't answer for sure. I use a bodybugg, it monitors how much I burn and how much I eat. It sure helps me figure out when I can add a snack and when I need to walk away!

  2. So did you only know it flipped cuz you went in for a fill and they couldnt find the port? No pain was an indicator? did you have to have surgery to flip it cback. i cant imagine having to go thru that surgery all over again. thanks for your reply

I knew I did it the first time - didn't know the second time. The first time I had a lot of burning around the port area. Yes, it did require surgery to have it flipped back. It wasn't fun at all. I'm betting this time won't be so great either. I'm still unsure what I did this time - unless it was the p90x program I've been doing.

  3. Ok... so I had my surgery about a year ago and this past month well week as been soo odd!! Everything I eat is getting suck!! I try the normal foods I eat, eggs for Breakfast, Soup for lunch... I end up throwing it up because it's so uncomfortable :( Could my fill be to tight? Is it just me and extra Water weight? Any suggestions? Thanks!!!

I'm doing the same thing. Had mine done January 2010! I have a dr. appt Friday.. we'll see what they have to say about it. :)

  4. I had my surgery 1/12 last year. In June I took my daughter to a national bb tourney (she was playing in it) and I was bent over trying her shoes. I felt major burning around the port area. I had pulled all my stitches on one side and flipped my port. I had to be opened back up to flip it back. I am very careful now, but also do P90x and run 2miles a day. The P90x program has an ab ripper that kicks my... er.. abs? but haven't had a problem since they stitched it back in.

    Hope that helps.

  5. I have had mine over a year. I wouldn't know what to do without it. I have found that if I skip a few days of wearing it, that is when I gain weight. I am much more aware of what I'm buring and what I'm eating when I wear it.

I upgraded mine to the one that synchs with my phone, however it doesn't really do it all that well. I find I get really excited to synch it after a run so I can see how much I've burned off.

    ::)

  6. I do a grilled sausage and cheese sammy for Breakfast sometimes. The kids LOVE LOVE LOVE it!

    2 slices of bread

    1 wedge laughing cow

    1 slice 2% cheese

turkey sausage crumbles (I like jimmy dean)

Heat the sausage up (or cook regular turkey sausage then crumble). Lightly butter one side of one slice bread. Put in pan. Cover bread with slice cheese. Add turkey sausage to top of sliced cheese. Spread wedge cheese on other piece of bread, then lightly coat other side with butter. Add to top of sammich (yes, I said sammich) in the pan. Heat till lightly brown.

Normally I cannot eat bread, but this ends up toasted nicely and I can eat it just fine. It's also under 300 calories.

Recipe from the new Hungry Girl Under 300 Calorie cookbook. Fantastic book that I highly recommend!

  7. I have it too. I have a new dr appt in the morning with a second dr. The two cortizone shots I've had directly in my heal worked for less than 2 weeks (together) and I've had it taped. I've also gone to physical therapy. Nothing is working. I stand at work and it's just getting so very bad. Hopefully the doc in the morning will have something new to say. hopefully...

  8. I had the band put in 1/14 and I have been sick everyday..did I make a huge mistake? I want to take it out. Am I a whoose?? I have to go back to work and cant even fathom how I can do it.

Sorry to highjack - I'll make it quick!

Kay, hang in there. I had mine in on the 13th. I too was sick every day until Saturday when I went to the ER. Apparently I was allergic to the anti-nausea meds. I am very very sore now and lack energy, but I'm doing SO much better than I was. Hang in there. It has to get better!

    Ok, highjack over. :)

  9. Might I suggest holding off and healing first then going down to help rebuild? The need isn't going to disappear overnight. You will be of more help once you have healed yourself.

That being said, my husband and I did a mission trip to Jamaica. I cannot even imagine going now - I'm 6 days post op. There is NO way I could have done what we did before in the condition I am in now. The weight limit to pick up things alone would have been a disaster.

  10. I too have the same insurance. I live in Northern Kentucky (probably not too very far from you!) and my insurance approved me on the first go. I had an initial bmi of 39. I also have fibromyalgia and pcos (the pcos has shoved me into diabeties.) I did not have to do a supervised diet. I think they approved everything right away since I have had the same insurance for 11 years and they have ALL my medical records.

    Hope this helps!

** Please excuse my spelling, I'm several days post-off and haven't found my spelling gene yet.
