    Quick Breakfast foods?

I am often in the same situation ... running out the door in a hurry to get to class in the mornings, it isn't always easy to find something band-friendly that is fast and easy for the car. I have found that one of the best breakfasts is 2 cups of non-fat or low-fat soy milk with a packet of instant breakfast. In total, it is 270 calories and up to 18 grams of protein. Hope this helps -- best of luck!

fills in Tijuana Mexico and how much?

I also had my surgery done in Mexico, with Dr. Ortiz ... and everything went great! I just went in for my first fill with them -- the fill itself cost $100, $200 if you want transportation from the border to the clinic. Honestly, this was so much cheaper than any of the other doctors I had been looking at going to, and it was worth the trip ... they are very good at what they do, use x-ray to make sure everything is working right, and talk you through the whole thing! Well, I hope that helps. Best of luck to you :wink2:

    I will be banded July 14, 2009!!

Congrats on your banding! I hope you have a complication-free surgery and an easy recovery ... I am 6 days post op myself and still dealing with lots of pain and gas (although it seems that it isn't the norm to be soo uncomfortable!) ... I encourage you to continue reading posts on here, it has pretty much been my savior! hehehe ) Good luck to you!

Can I switch Dr.'s..I have a huge program fee.

I couldn't agree more! Any doctor you go to will likely act as if he/she is the only one who can perform your surgery and aftercare .... however, I went to three different surgeons before deciding on mine, and I will tell you that all were very qualified. The surgery is more or less the same no matter who you have it done with, the pre and post op diets may differ a little, the stay (or lack thereof) in the hospital/clinic, and the care you receive post op, but for me the reason I chose my surgeon was mainly the COST. The first doctor I went to was going to charge $25,000... the second $17,000 and the one I ended up going to was about $7,000. I would encourage you to keep searching until you find a surgeon whose skills AND fees you are comfortable with. Best of luck to you! )

    cruise food suggestions

Hello! Congratulations on getting banded ) -- I was banded 7/08. As for the cruise, just like any restaurant you should be able to get them to make clear broth of some sort. At the very least they should have chicken broth .... Not sure if you are on solids yet (as every doctor is different), but if you are, just remember to stay far from the dessert tables and focus on protein, protein, protein! Best of luck to you!
