  1. I hit my goal 11 months after surgery, which was 136. I lost 2 more lbs the next month and I've been maintaining ever since. It's hard, I can eat a lot now so I have to watch myself!

  2. You look great - what a difference 6 months makes!

The thing I feel most guilty about is not exercising enough.

The thing I feel most proud about is making good nutrition a priority - 71 pounds in 6 months!

Thank you! I am down 90 pounds, 299 starting weight now i am 209, it really feels like i wont lose another pound and i always feel hungry. Its certainly not that easy. I try to exercise at least 3 days a week.

  3. Welll its 6 months for all of us in June!!! I never post pictures but figured i would. How is everyone doing, whats the biggest thing you feel guilty about? Being honest mine is snacking on carbs at night :(

  4. Hey how are you doing, i feel like i am 100 percent better just some pain from from where my port was. Im deff struggling getting my Protein in its like i have to gag a Protein shake down its that gross tasting!!! I just found these yogurt smoothies made by dannon light and fit 12 grams of Protein but 10 sugars. Have you experimented with food at all. I really don't feel any restriction like the band felt like its really nice but i hope my pouch is small enough

  5. Home again and (mostly) better. The first night was pretty rough and my Dr didn't leave orders for anything but morphine, which I did not want to take. Came home to my hydro and oxycodone and MUCH better. Seven incisions and very painful where the band was removed. Photos the Dr gave us show flesh growing around port tube, port lesioned to inside ab wall, and lesions around band at stomach. So grateful it is GONE! No trouble since coming home, though I can see getting a regular sleep pattern back going to take a few days. That is NOT a concern I care much about!

I have my band to gastric surgery 6/2/16 good luck!!

    Kewadiak, how are you doing?

I am in so much pain, i am still in hospital due to the fact thats i have a fever and am dehydrated. My surgeon said my surgery was 6 hours long and it was hard to do. I am having a hard time moving, i hope it gets easier soon

  6. I am having a really hard time following this preop diet I keep cheating! I guess I'll make sure to follow it starting Tuesday since my surgery is the 2nd! Also, getting nervous a bit since I am a revision from lapband I keep thinking I am going to wake up and they tell me sorry we couldn't do it all at once.

  7. I've been low carbing for the last 3 months during my required 3 month supervised diet. It definitely helped with my sugar cravings. I tried a bunch of different Protein shakes. I've lost 34 pounds. I'll have one week of liquids prior to surgery and of course, nothing after 12a the night before. I'm 54, so the saggy skin thing worries me too but I would consider plastic surgery if I was really bothered by it. We'll see. One step at a time, right?

    .

Can you recommend a Protein brand you liked? I cant find one that i actually can stand.
