When you 1st went to Dr Joyce and Lahmanns, didn't they check with your insurance to see if LAP-BAND? was covered? Mine said they did within 3 days.

I can't imagine the Dr.s even scheduling you for a consult before confirming that.

Call the insurance company yourself, be pro active and it will help you to be more confident about this decision.

Didn't you say you you have BCBS?

Yeah, I'll be doing the preop diet, think it starts the day I go for a 2 1/2 hour preop intructional eatting, what to expect, and post surgery lecture. That isn't for 2 weeks yet, so I am soooo stuck in the "last meal" syndrome now, with only 2 weeks left of "normal eating". I keep thinking of all the things I want to try just one more time...

I had to lose 10 pounds because that's what the surgeon requires of all, but I haven't done that yet either, but not for lack of trying.

My advice for you is really restric those carbs, drink tons of h2o, and eat mostly protein, those pounds will drop. just do not forget to balance those calories with any exercise you do. That is the number 1 reason why people don't lose weight, they are starving their bodies when they work out and don't feed it.

Let me know how you progress in your weight loss, you can do it!

Hey Girl, How are ya doing?

I have been sooo busy the past few days, and start school tomorrow. I did want to check in with you to be sure your nerves weren't getting the worst of you , and to see how the liquids are treating you.

I know you will do great, and I eagerly look forward to hearing from you and your propective on how the Doc took care of you and how the hospital stay was as well.
