Hello LapBand Family members!I've always been the "chunky" girl in my family and most social situations.. You know the one with the pretty face but could lose a few pounds. At least that's what those who had something to say said. I have had some successes at losing weight in the past but could not keep it off. I finally became tired and gave in to the fact that I needed a little extra help. Believe me, I fought the thought that I could actually be that weak....Hmm.. I mean I have always been one who was able to accomplish most of what I put my mind into accomplishing. The weight thing just seemingly was my weak point in which struggle was spelled in CAPS!! I'm experiencing a little funny feeling now that my surgery is only two weeks away but I am also ready to experience the world as a someone who is not defined as being obese, moderately obese or more by physicians.  I no longer want to be looked at as the big girl...I want to be seen as the person I am who's waiting to embrace the world and live it like never before!  I know I will be successful with all of your help and encouragement. I'm sure I've forgotten alot but keep in touch and I'll share more as we travel this journey..Be blessed!
