  1. Happy 59th Birthday nancyjean!

  2. 2 years has passed since you registered at LapBandTalk! Happy 2nd Anniversary nancyjean!

  3. The good Lord gave you a body that can stand most anything. It's your mind and motivation you have to convince. You must begin to think of yourself as becoming the person you want to be. Let that person who is inside come out and see the world. Take it one day at a time. Happy Holidays. PS: Update me on your progress

  4. How are you doing with your band? It has been so long since I posted!! I am down 31 lbs. and have had 4 fills; I now have 8cc of my 14 cc band filled. The last fill about 6 weeks ago put me in the "green zone". I am not hungry all the time, I eat and I get full, but I have to eat slowly because I have much more restriction than ever! Getting banded was the best thing I ever did for myself!!

  5. abbypoo, I have not been on for so long! How are you doing? I am down 31 lbs, as of today and I have 8cc of my 14 cc band filled. I am finally in the "green zone"; lsoing weight, eating healthy and getting full and don't think if food all the time because I am satisfied! It took 4 fills before I got to this point and my last fill was about 6 weeks ago. I definitely have a lot more restriciton now and I eat at a much slower pace so as not to have any problems! Getting banded was the best thing I ever di for myself.

  9. I am so sick today. Had diarrhea this morning, chills and a fever of 101 later in the day. And all I do is cough and cough and cough. Took 12 hour cough syrup cause I couldn't stand it anymore! I called my surgeon and he thinks I have a virus. Have been on the couch or in bed all day...feel like a truck hit me! Glad I have this week off from work; I'd never make it in.
  10. Hi, I'm Nancy from MA and I was banded August 4th. No gas pains at all. Still very sore at port site. I am constantly burping, so that must be from gas. Yesterday I had oatmeal with milk and added in a little applesauce to give it more flavor. Had about 6 tsp. of it...tastes yummy!I ate it because I had to get food in me; I do not feel hungry at all! Also walked my beagle yesterday a couple of blocks; have to do that every day and add more distance to build up my strength. Still feel sleepy. I'm out of work all this week so I can build up my strength and per surgeon's orders. This was so much easier than I thought it would be! Looking forward to helping each other!

    August 2009 bandsters?

Day 4 post op! I am eating oatmeal with milk and threw in a little applesauce for more flavor. Finally something substantial to eat. Only had 6 or 7 teaspoons full, as I don't want to overdo it and I want to make sure it will stay down! Still hurtin' today at port site and I am so sleepy still!! But, I did take my beagle fora walk (2 blocks) to start building up my strength again. Glad I had this done; I know it will work for me!! Lost the 9 lbs. of fluid from the hosptial/surgery and I am back to me pre-op weight loss of 12 lbs. again....yipeeee!
