  1. Thanks everyone!! I will definately look into getting a small pillow to hold against my stomach for the ride home, etc. I already invested in some stretchy waisted pants and I'm addicted to chap stick  so I have that covered. I will definately invest in some Gas X.
  2. So I called last Friday to check the status and the girl told me it was approved on 10/06 I was so excited it had been sent in by my doctors office the previous Thursday. Got my letter in the mail today and I will call Monday to see if the doctor recieved his letter also....I'm so excited and I don't even care if I have to be on a liquid diet during the Holidays!!! So I started picking up some things for after surgery that I saw other people on the board said helped them. A heating pad, baby plates, forks and spoons and some sippie cups (figure if I don't use these I have a neice that will be starting to eat regular food soon). I have Isopure protien powder from before I even started this process. Any other main things I should get before the surgery? I saw some people talked about binders for after surgery and how it helped with support and pain, any suggestions or recommendations on that. Thanks

    Hi!

Hey everyone! I am anxiously awaiting to hear back from my insurance on if they will cover my surgery. I have UHC Choice and the surgical center doing my surgery has sent them my 5 year history. I have been overweight ALL of my life and am looking for a fresh start. I have back aches all the time, reflux, always tired and a family history of diabetes and high blood pressure. I don't have diabetes or suffer with high blood pressure, but I feel it's in my future if things don't change. I have been married for 10 years and we want to have kids. I have had female problems for a long time actually all my life (few or non exisistent periods). I have been off the pill for 4 years now with no luck, I'm hoping I can have the surgery and lose enough that a year from now I can get pregnant. I always thought I could do it on my own and I'd lose 40lbs here and gain back or 60lbs there and then gain it back. I guess one of the reasons I am anxious about having this done is I am 32 now and it seems like I am running out of time to have kids, which I desparately want. I don't know why I waited so long to have the surgery and if the insurance denies me (which I am totally expecting) cause thats the way my luck is I am going to figure out a way to self pay. Good luck to everyone else out there playing the waiting game and Congrats to everyone else who has been approved or already has the band and is losing :cursing:
