  1. My first thought was low Vit D or B levels.
  2. What if the recovery is worse than with my band? What if it doesn't work, just like the band? They're small things that I know the answer to, but the control freak in me doesn't like them!
  3. I'm SO ready for Tuesday to get here! I'm just freaked out about the what if's.
  4. There are mixed opinions on this product, but I really love Syntha 6 in chocolate peanut butter. It's the ONLY one I enjoy drinking.
  5. I told you he wouldn't yell at you! Dr Rice is great. And good job on the loss!
  6. I'm in San Antonio, a band to sleeve revision. I'll turn 25 ten days after surgery! I've got 90-110lbs to lose, depending on who you ask.
  7. I'm scheduled for May 1!
  8. I'm pretty close to you on all of that, except my surgery is May 1!
  9. I have no advice. I've never ever been able to tolerate the protein shakes. They smell and taste horrid. The ONE that I like isn't even all that good for you.
  10. I was already well into my pre-op diet (and 12 lbs down!) and have been told to discontinue it until 2 weeks before the date. However, I spoke too soon. My mother is the one that's coming to town to take care of me immediately post-op. Of course, it happened that she absolutely cannot take any days off the week of my surgery. So, looks like it may be moved again. I almost wonder if these are signs that I shouldn't be having it.
  11. I went in today for my pre-op appointments. My surgery was scheduled for the 27th of this month, and they moved it to April 24th. Part of me is disappointed that it's not next week like I'd planned, but the other side of me is happy, because this makes it easier to get people that can help me post-op. Either way, I've got a new surgery date!
  12. I really really hope they don't change sizes. I've invested quite a bit in shoes, and I'd hate to have to replace them.
  13. Guys, buy some Nioxin. I know SEVERAL people who use it for thinning hair and it works like a charm. My wonder-stylist even has her boyfriend using it for his thinning hair!
  14. NV? I typically like most things soy, so its not a flavor of soy issue for me. They're just gross.
  15. They're gross, and I love soy. The only thing they have in common with spaghetti is the shape.
  16. I've been reading this whole thread, holding by breath. I'm SO glad everything worked out for you!!! And you're absolutely beautiful!
  17. Gross strained cream soup. I'm on the pre-op.
  18. I'm feeling the same way. I already failed with a band/had a band fail for me, however you look at it. I can't even imagine myself with the weight gone. My surgery is next Tuesday and it still doesn't feel like a real thing yet.
  19. Does the protein clump up from being added to a hot beverage? I think I'm gonna put in a big order with them! I'm so cheap, though, that I'm hating the prices!
  20. I've tried what seems like every single one. The only one I can tolerate is Syntha 6 pb and chocolate. I'm gonna have to try some plain whey.
  21. In the liquids stage, is there a way to get your protein in without drinking those vile protein shakes? I literally threw up because one was so disgusting. I find myself just drinking water instead of protein shakes, so if nothing else, I'm hydrated.
  22. This actually sounds really good!

How soon after surgery did you start working out intensely? I'm active now and work out now, but I read a lot about people waiting months to start working out. What was your experience?
  24. Thanks, guys! I'm in NE San Antonio, near Alamo Heights. Luckily my family has been able to structure it so that they can help, but I'm glad to know there are more people here with the sleeve! We'll have to start a sleeve group or something! I'm having mine done at BAMC, and Dr Fenton is performing mine. My concern at this point is the recovery time. I work for a very busy animal rescue here in town, and while it's technically a desk job, there's tons of up and down, handling animals, etc.
