  1. You are not the odd one out here!!! :success1: You are one of us!!!
  2. I think I'll name mine, my new car. Since there will be no new car in my future after taking out the loan for this!
  3. I was talking to people at work..and seriously they had never heard of them! Okay, they are mostly around 20, but wow..I felt old. Glad to know I'm not crazy...
  4. I don't try to eat until about 11am. Just have coffee in the morning than really wait until my stomach actually growls. Then I figure it's ready for some food. Eat slow, tiny bites..and savory it.
  5. okay, I see now you were banded two weeks before me.
  6. Hi Neenagh, I called to make another appointment. They have to be two weeks apart so |I go back on Nov. 1st. I hope this fill will go better than the last one did. They had to fish around in me a bit, and I came very close to passing out.:faint: How long have you been banded?
  7. Good points Jack, I guess in some way as soon as I start eating I want to feel full or sick so I stop. I think I'm eating too much and then get paranoid I'm stretching myself out. I have a 4cc band. I'm not as hungry as I was post band. I'm not patient either. i guess I've just failed so many times at weight loss before that I really need to feel this band in me and know it's working.
  8. Hi Everyone, I had my first fill last Wed. (1cc) and and feeling no difference. Felt really good the day after, but it must of been swelling because the feeling went away. I'm starting to get frustrated! I really want to feel this band working, I feel like I'm doing all the work and it's not helping me. Anyone else have this happen? I need some encouragement. Thanks.
  9. Thanks for the reply. I don't mind the unmarked door..it would be weird if it had a big sign on it. I'd rather people not know why I'm going there.
  10. Hi Everyone, Just wondering if Dr. Cobourn does your fills himself or if the nurse does? Also do you know the names of the nurses that work there? They are so nice and I don't even know their names. Who do you ask for, if you call in with a question? I know the girls that usually answer the phones are on the other side( not at the unmarked door:) ). Thanks for the help!
  11. Thanks Dianne, I needed that today.:grouphug:
  12. Good for you. :welcome: Don't be surprised when all of a sudden you realise you can eat without restriction. The first week you are just so swollen..it's not the band you feel. Your weight will probably plateau now until your first fill. That's the boat I'm in now but my Dr. warned me so I'm not flipping out when the scale no longer is moving. I'm trying very hard to follow the post-op diet. Happy Birthday!! :grouphug: This is the best gift you ever gave yourself.:biggrin1:
  13. Good for you!!!! I can't wait until I see those numbers on my scale! Just think never again over 200lbs. You should be so proud of yourself. What a milestone. :biggrin1:
  14. Hey Neenagh, i think the hiatus hernia is very common (especially in people that are overweight) . I had one aswell and heard Dr.Coburn tell the lady beside me in recovery how he fixed hers awell. It never caused me any problems but hey glad to get a little something extra outta all that money I spent.:biggrin1: Funny story...I would be stopping my sister from seeing my hubby naked..just too weird. glad you are both recovering.
  15. Oh my goodness...FAUXNAIF!!! You are 7lbs from goal! You must be so excited and happy. Have you posted any pics? Amazing weight loss!!
