  1. Go to tickerfactory.com and follow the directions for creating the ticker for WL. Then open a separate tab on LBT and go to 'user cp' then 'edit your signature'...copy and paste the actual picture of the ticker there (not the code) and don't forget to save there. Have fun! -BG

Oh- and it won't show up here in blogs' date=' just on the 'home' page when you post.[/quote']

Thanks for the information, but I still cannot get it to work for me? Do I do my search from here, or do I go to google and type in tickerfactory.com?

  2. I know that right after surgery, I will be on soft foods required because of the lap band. After I level out with my eating different types of foods, are we required to use a certain diet plan, or can we use our own? Myself, I like the atkins diet plan. It works for me and my family. I have not heard anyone say anything about using this diet plan. Just wondering if you are told not to use it for some reason, or most people just don't like it? Just wondering?:sneaky:

  3. Yes! Thanks for the information. I had heard he was a good Doctor, but nothing else. I have to do the 90 day diet before I can schedule my surgery. It helps to know of someone else that has had him. I take it that you have had your surgery? Hope you are doing ok. Can't wait to get mine done. Hope you do great and loose lots of weight! You must be from the Houston area? I'm from Alvin. Thank God I was able to get a doctor this close. Thanks again...you put my mind at rest. lol

  4. I have the aetna ppo. I had my first real visit today and it looks as though I am going to get the surgery. I'm so excited. I was almost too low on my bmi. I was given a strict diet but was told not to loose any weight? I have to record all my meals for 90 days. I will do whatever it takes to get the surgery though. You said you are using the Dewitts clinic. We have a Dewitts Clinic here in Alvin, Texas too.

Hope everything goes well for you. Let me know.

  5. I was told by my nurse today, that I need to be on a strict diet, (recording all meals) for 90 days without loosing any weight. (Insurance requires this, not the Doctor) The only way I see to do this is to follow the diet, but eat on the side also. lol And who is this going to fool? The insurance Company? Maybe they think people will loose the weight and not get the much needed surgery. Thank God, my Nurse was kind enough to tell me not to loose, because I would have tried to loose as much as possible, and probably not been able to get the surgery. Has anyone else had this problem? My bmi is 40, and I use the sleep apena machine.

  6. I'm still waiting. I have my doctors appointment tomorrow. Hope that my insurance goes through ok and I can schedule my lap band surgery date. I had my first office visit 3 weeks ago. I waited to hear from my doctor to find out when I was to have my first doctors appointment, and found out that the clinic that I had visited the first day had not sent my papers in. I just now got all that settled. Hope everything else goes smooth. It might be wise to do a followup when you think the papers should have been sent. Sometimes they get busy and put things off.

Good luck and I hope everything goes well for you.

  7. Congratulations! I just found out today that I will get to have my surgery in 90 days. I'm so excited. I was told before that my insurance would require me to wait 6 months before the surgery. But they called today with the good news. Good luck! Hope you have a very easy surgery, and fast recovery.
