I had my lap band done on July 12 last year. But, I am not losing, I can still eat everything. And as much as I want. I have had 3 fills, but I am not tight enough. How do you know if you are full enough? How tight do you feel?

Thanks for responding to me. How much is your TJ surgery? Mine is $7000. I go just before you. I am scheduled for the 14, airline tickets purchased. Time is creeping up so fast. That is good, I am soooo fat. I need help.

I'm 53 almost 54 :thumbup:! I weighed 150 at 18 when I got married. Weigh 261 now, my highest. I'm 5'7". Haven't weighed under 200 in 30 years. It's been so long since I've been able to wear non-plus clothes I've no idea how much I'd have to lose to be able to DO that.

I've been married 35 years in July, have a 17 yr old son and 5 Border Terriers. I also have Type II Diabetes. My first goal is to get off my meds, honestly after that is all 'gravy'.

Like most of us, I'm excited and scared at the same time. My surgery date is July 16th, I know with the help and support of my family and the folks I meet on this site I'll be successful! We ALL will be! :cursing:

I am 52 years young, and 5'9", weighing in at 272. I am scared, nervous, excited and can't "weight" to get back to a normal size. I work at a gym for heavens sake. What kind of an example am I? I have been married for 32 years to a great guy, have 3 wonderful children and 5 grandchildren.

I have been up and down so many times it would make your head spin. I have tried everything. They all work, and then comes the truth. You can't do it forever. I need help.

My surgery is scheduled for July 14, in TJ, Mexico. I am self pay. I live in Alberta, Canada.

Iam going for surgery on July 14,2009. I am nervous, but very excited. I have not been told about a pre op diet yet. but I am sure that is coming. I have done lots of reading, and hoping that this is the answer. I know all of you feel the same way. Dr. Kuri in Mexico is doing the surgery. I am from Alberta Canada, so I have a bit of a trip ahead of me, in more ways than one.

Karla - sounds like you are doing great... I have a tattoo - sun on my right ankle and my nose is pierced - I wear a little tiny diamond - did it all before banding though...

Well you know what they say about bike riding you never forget - I haven't been on one in years either - wanted to get one - but the window to actually ride it is to short - either it's too hot even at 5 a.m. or to dark when I get home from work -

Canada is You, Me, Linda, Peaches of course she since she's our hostess - and Kari... I think that's it this yr.

Hopefully next yr we will do the cruise out of New Orleans and then Denise will come and Karri said she might do that one cuz she would like to see if she likes cruising....

Well good morning gang - it's almost afternoon - got up 5:30 went to the gym burned 300 calories came home took babies to the vet for their shots and angle blood test - and omg shocked at the bill - then to pet store for food and appointment for grooming next Sat at 10 and now home don't know what I am going to do with myself today...

Don't need to shop - need just a few things from the grocery store - but am hungry so not a good time to go...

Kaitlin will be up in a bit and want me to take her to gf house...

May just make some popcorn and watch tv - which really means take a nap :biggrin:

I am going for surgery July 14. Less than a month now.

I live in Alberta, Canada. Yes 4 hours is quite aways to go for a fill. but no one seems to do fills unless they did the surgery

I work at Curves, so hopefully the exercise will not be a problem. I just had a cortizone shot in my knee, so now I can get back to exercise. I just found a store nearby that sells lots of sugar free and fat free dressings.< /p>

I phoned the doctor that my surgeon said would do my fill, just to be sure. Yes he will do them. I will have to travel around 4 hours also to get it done.

How many calories do try to keep within?

I have had a hip replacement and my knees are going, sounds like we have lots in common

Thanks, I am so glad there is a place to talk to people who are going through the same things and have felt the same way. It sure looks like it has worked for you.

I never feel full, I can eat forever and never feel satisfied. I hoping that part will help me. When I tried ponderol , I would only take a bite of food and feel full. I hoping that this will do this.

Thanks, I hope it all clicks for me too. I know I have some food issues. I also know that I am going to have to find things to do when I am feeling depressed.And not medicate with food.

Hi. I am glad that someone else my age is in here. I feel, that maybe I am too old to do something like this, but I just do not want to carry this weight around any more. My knees are going and I have already had a hip replacement. I want to enjoy what is left of my life. I want to travel and have some fun.
