  1. Dee Dee - I can relate with you on so many levels. The cold vs hot thing...OMG...I seem to be cold all the time now. I have started carrying sweaters/jackets with me everywhere. Layers are now "my friend". Shopping - absolutely a completely different experience than shopping 4 months ago. For Christmas, my husband and boys bought me clothes. They would NEVER have bought clothes for me before. Some of them were size large and I reprimanded my husband for not getting XL....however, when I tried them on, large fit just fine. I'm sure it won't be long before a medium is in my future (not sure if I will ever make it to a small - even with the weight loss, I'm not sure my bust line will every fit into a small). You are so right when you commented about not knowing before what we had been missing.

  2. Dee Dee - unlike you, I went to Mcdonald's today and bought a Happy Meal. Luckily it was for my 4 year old. Boy, I really did want some though. We went through the drive thru after soccer practice and I had to ride in the car all the way home with it. I knew I really didn't WANT it but my head wanted it. I drank a big gulp of water and popped a stick of SF gum in my mouth. I made it all the way home without even a french fry. Now that I am home, and my son has eaten all he wants, I don't even want what's left over. Prior to surgery, I would have ordered a meal too and and extra order of fries to nibble on for the drive home. Gotta love the SLEEVE!

  3. Congratulations Dee Dee! Happy 3 month surgiversary! It seems like just yesterday we were getting ready for our surgery. But on the other hand, it seems like so long ago - so much has changed. Keep up the good work. You will be wearing your size 10 dress any day.

  4. Dee Dee -

I find it interesting that we have lost almost exactly the same amount of weight. I lost exactly 20lb before surgery on 8/4 - down to 226. Since surgery I am down to 194lb. 32lb since surgery. A total of 52 pounds. Glad to see you are doing well. My sleeve and I are working together. It gets easier every day. I do find however that on days that I am busy, I seem to make better food choices and stick to protein. Just enough to get the fuel I need to keep going. Whereas on days I am sitting at home, like on Sundays while doing laundry and watching football, I want to snack all day. I know it is boredom and head hunger but WOW. It kills me.

    Keep up the good work.
