Tomorrow is my day too!!! Today has been pretty easy for me, but very surprisingly! I really haven't been hungry on this pre-op liquid diet. Today is the only day I had to be on liquids, other than my phase 1 breakfast today. Then at noon I had to drink the magnesium stuff, but found grape flavored thanks to the NP that I met with at final weigh in.

Tomorrow is my day!!!! I get banded by Dr. Hoffman at 10am. Today was easier than I thought it would be. I have cooked lunch and dinner for my family and I wasn't even hungry or tempted to take even a tiny bite! I almost licked my finger once out of habit but caught myself. And the drinking of the magnesium stuff.....not as bad as I expected, nor the end result. It's working, just not as severe as I thought it would, which is a good thing!!!! Very excited, not the least bit nervous...yet!!!

Went to Hoffman's office on Wednesday (23rd) and boy were they unorganized. Our appointment was at 1pm and we didn't leave until 3:45!!! There were several patients there, the doctors were no where to be found, the nurses were arguing....I've never seen it like that before! Anyways, hubby and I got our surgery dates. He goes on 11/9 and I go on 11/30. 11/30 just so happens to be the monday AFTER thanksgiving. How does Hoffman have you prepare? I've heard stories from lots of people but it seems every doctor is different. Some want you back on Phase 1 of SB for 2 weeks. Some want you on straight clear liquid for 1 week, others say 2 days. Should I even bother eating Thanksgiving dinner since I'm guessing hubby won't be able to only being 17 days out of surgery.

Hello everyone! I'm very new to this site but was very excited to find this forum about Dr. Hoffman. Hubby and I go on the 23rd, and providing everything is in, we get our surgery dates. We were originally scheduled with Posner, but hubby saw Hoffman in the hall and asked if that was our doctor. I told him no. He said that it should be. So, I called the office and they gladly switched us to Hoffman. Dr. Hoffman was so wonderful at our last visit, and he is so encouraging!!! Looking forward to this journey with him!
