  4. Lisbeth-You were banded on the 4th like me as a self pay and you have already lost 24 pounds! Wow!! Congratulations! I need to know your secret. I have only lost 4 pounds at the most on my clear liquid diet. I think my body feels like it's in starvation mode and hanging on to everything I have. Seciond thoughts

I had the same thoughts as you the day before my surgery which was last Thursday (6-4). As of now, I still wonder if it was the right decision for me only due to soreness and lack of weightloss thus far. I'm strictly on a clear liquid diet until the 16th and thought the weight would just fall off, but it seems my body is in starvation mode and hanging on to every thing I have. I hope to see at least 10-15 pounds gone by the end of next week though. :ihih: I have several friends who chose bypass over this procedure and their weight has fluctuated over the past few years something that can be controled by the lap band. I wish you much success on your journey. TeacherTracy Banded 6-4-09 S/187 C/183 G1/150 G2/130

    Looking for answers

Thanks. Any bit of info helps me out!
  7. Dr. Britt did my surgery on June 4th. My two week follow up is June 18th. Right now my healing process is slow and uncomfortable. The growling belly is something to get used to and the port site is sore. Did you have these same issues? Can you help me with advice about the liquid diet because needless to say I'm losing it. I want food that I can chew but I know that I can't just yet! TeacherTracy
  8. Hi everyone. I had my lap band procedure last Thursday (6-4) and having some pain and soreness that I thought would be long gone by now. I have 6 entry sites and to the left of my belly button is an incision that is approx. 2.5" to 3". It is extremely sore and feels "strange" when I walk or sit. I'm assuming this is my port site? Am I correct? I'd really like to talk with you all about this and hear it from someone who has actually had the surgery. I'm looking forward to hearing from you soon. TeacherTracy
