  1. Giiiiiiirl I'm doing fabulous! I love my band! This whole process has been up and down and up and stall and up and down! It's been a mental and emotional roller coaster figuring out my issues and working through them. But where I'm at today is, down to 238 lbs and already a size 18, that was a shock to me! At this pace I could be a 200 lb size 14 chick! That'd be pretty awesome!

That is awesome you recovered so fast. Day 2 for me I was off the pain meds and day 3 I was back to takin' care of my 2 boys by myself. I'm excited to keep up w/ your progress.

  2. Awesome! thanks for the tips. I will have to stick to the exercise daily b/c I'm doing good w/ the food. Can't wait until my first fill!

  3. congrats on your continued success! You look fabulous!

  4. Heeeyyyy! I just joined, my surgery is June 19th as well! We must chat, I can't believe you're my age, my shape, and we're going to be doing it the exact same day!!!

  5. Hey everybody! I'm back!!! I haven't been on in FOREVER! But I'm going to try to keep up with this site again for awhile! Hope everyone is doing well!

  6. Hey hot mama~ You need to put some pictures up here and show everybody how amazing you look! Neat that I found you on here. I haven't been on here in 6 mths with the support I get from the lapband blog community!

  7. Hey woman!~ You should upload new pics of you and your family! How is it alll going???

  8. hEY! Good luck w/ orientation. I'm doing ok but you haven't heard much b/c I am not losing weight. I've been at the same "lbs" since 2 wks ago but I am losing inches, all over. Down like 41 inches total and my work outs have gone from 20 minutes to 90 minutes at a time. I try to do 3-4x a week, so the pounds thing is annoying. Bladder issues right now on my personal site, just working through it daily!!!

  9. hey! How are you doing? I wanted to check up and see if you had new pictures. How are things?

  10. Hey! Just saw a post of yours on the twenties board. We seem to be around the same weight and have the same goals! I just had my surg 3 days ago. My highest was also 285. My current is 267.5 and my goal is 145. You seem to be doing so great!!!! Check out my page and my website. www.freewebs.com/lizandrk/ Xoxo, Liz

  11. Hey! We should keep up w/ each other, it seems like our stats are farmiliar. And I checked out your blog, you said when people find out your weight they are always surprised. I get that reaction alot myself, thank god, right! I'd like to see pics of how you're doing. Are you doing full body shots of the progress for your personal records? Check out my site, I'm doing tons of pics! www.freewebs.com/lizandrk/

  12. Hey!!! I know a lot of younger people with it. YOu should check out my blog. YOu can look at my followers on the right side of my blog and those are ALL people who have been banded. There is a huge lapband blog community!!!

  13. Hi there! I live in the valley, Phnx. I saw you had a 3 hr drive after surg so did you do it in Phoenix? If so could you share your facility or surgeon info? My surg is Kurt Sprunger from Scottsdale Bariatric Hospital. Surg for me is 06-19-09

  14. How have you been? I haven't been on here in awhile. Were you banded in June like me?

  15. I am alive. I havne't been on here much lately b/c I found great support w/ about 10 lapbandster woman on blogspot.com It's great to have that as a support group but I do need to get on here more often.

  16. I do have a "plan" for exercise. However b/c I was in sports as a teen I think my goals are too aggressive. At the hosp my exercise specialist said set super small goals that seem laughable. Then when accomplished you can still be just as proud of yourself. So I do have a YMCa membership, a great neighborhood to walk in, and a park to play soccer in w/ my kids. So I figure those are the things I will start with. After I lose 40-50 lbs I want to take up a yoga class.

  17. I know I can't believe it, now it's only a day. tomorrow is my last day at work and that makes it so real! I'm nervous and so excited for things to start happening. Mostly, I'm excited to date again! It's been awhile.

  18. I live in Az, I'm 24 and a single parent to 2 little boys. I'm having my surgery at Scottsdale Bariatric Hospital by Kurt Sprunger. My insurance is paying for 85% and oh I do have a blog. My site is www.freewebs.com/lizandrk/ check it out, I have my pics there. I just found this site last night and I am beyond excited to meet other people. Allll my friends are skinny and most of the ppl in my family are average so nobody relates to me. They think I'm being extreme but I know this is the right option! And yes in my life, 12 days flies by!!!

  19. I saw your message of concern on the twenties board. It's been like 5 days since you did that, are you doing any better?? Feeling any better?

  20. I'm doing good as well. Glad to be at this point and thankful for my band! Have you not added post op pictures? I haven't gotten on the June Journey's board recently, how much have you lost?

  21. I'm following your blog now! Update update!!!!

  22. In response to your comment on my food pic... I do not drink protein shakes or supliments. My nutritionist recommends you get all you need from your food, and lucky for me I LOVe high protein foods. I'm a picky eater so the only meat I eat is chicken or turkey, no salads, only steamed veggies, and I rarely eat fruit. I just try to fill up on good stuff, even soups if I'm in a hurry. Watching the amount of food is key. A lot of busy people, like myself, carry around a container that is 1-2 cups so they can quickly put food in there and eat out of the container so they know they don't go over the limit. Your eyesballs are usually always bigger than your stomach! good luck!!!

  23. In response to your comment on my tummy pic, I was in pain day 1 of surgery and half of day 2. It slowly gets better everyday and you feel a ton better when you get off the narcotics and out of the haze. I'm doing fabulous but I do have a high pain tolerance.

  24. In your photo album you mention a trainer? What is it you're doing for exercise? I'm about 2 1/2 wks post op and the last week and a half I've just been walking 30 mins a day, but I see a difference. FYI-You are super beautiful as it is! I bet you've always wished people complimented your body like they do your face!!! Oh yeah I'm in PHnx too, Mesa!

  25. My surgery is June 19th as well. I have not been required to do a pre-op liquid diet, but I am supposed to lose 20 lbs. I have not done that, so I too am nervous like Gonnalooseit. I think I will put myself on a liquid diet as well.
