  11. Hi everyone, I was banded 11/9/09. I was very sore for a week and 1/2. I stopped taking my meds after 4 days they made me soo sleepy and loopy. The first few days only could do water, popsicles and broth. I could never finish any of them...I went back to work last wednesday (desk job with lots of getting up and walking to the copier). I lasted a 1/2 day and each day I stayed a little longer (My boss is soo suportive). How has everyone adapted going back to work and lunchtime with co workers or dinner with family? I have stepped on the scale once since surgery and have lost 10lbs!!! (20 counting pre-op) I am 10lbs away from being pre-baby weight which I havent been since 2005!! SInce going back to work I really dont have time to walk as much is anyone else getting in any exercise?
  12. I had my surgery on 11/09/09. I went home the same day. since then I haven't really bounced back. I have been mostly sleeping I get dizzy when I try to walk and nauseous when I try any liquids. is this normal? I am supposed to go back to work monday but if I continue this way I don't think I can... anyone else go through this?
  13. My doctor doesn't require a pre-op diet either. I kept saying that i would do one anyway to be on the safe side but each day i have buckled and ate solids. They have been healthy solids just the same... I go for my pre-op testing tomorrow and will ask if I have any restrictions or requirments. Good Luck with your journey. And DONT beat yourself up about it. As long as you know and understand the rules your doctor did give you and plan to follow those you should do fine.
  14. Good luck, keep us posted on your progress.
