I'm glad that you are at peace with your decision. I'm going to have surgery on Oct. 1st also. I took a loan against my car to get the money. Our Heavenly Father knows that I am weak when it comes to dieting. He loves me anyway. I know that he will be beside me through my journey. I can feel the spirit of his love surrounding me. Where are you having your surgery? I look forward to keeping up with your progress. ps-I am having my surgery by Dr. Aceves for $9000 total for everything.

Possum, It is good to hear from you. I'm sorry that you had a difficult time with your surgery. It is good to hear that you are able to eat something without any problems. Keep us posted on your progress.

My insurance would pay for the band or by-pass. So I decided to self pay. I'm sorry about your pain and hope you get relief soon.

Shanda, it is good to hear from you. Congrats on your surgery and glad to hear that you were treated so well.

Hello and welcome. I have a little thought that you may want to consider. My doc told me this surgery could add 15 years to my life, God willing. Think about what you could do with an extra 15 years to serve God. It would be awsom. If your 401k money don't work out and you decide to go ahead with the surgery, you could write an IOU out to God and place it in your bible. Don't forget to do things to serve Our Heavenly Father while paying back your Heavenly Loan. Just something to think about.

Daisy, I'm so sorry about your little terrier. I have had pets through the years and it is so hard to loose them. When one of my toy poodles died 3 years ago, I cried for 2 days. I still have one and like you, when she is gone I don't think I will get another one. It's too heartbreaking on these old nerves. I'm sending hugs your way.
