    Sleeved 10-20-09

Hello rycurtis and welcome to the VST forum. You are right the liquid stage is tough. I am 30 days out and starting to eat reg. foods in small amounts. I am learning as I go about the amounts I can eat. I know that a chicken wing, one bite of potatoes, and one bite of slaw is too much for me right now. I'm learning as I go what my new tummy likes and don't like. Everyone is different. I can eat eggs with no problems, but a lot of people on here have trouble with them. Everyday gets better. Just hang in there and you will be fine. My energy levels are up, no more BP meds. and I'm sleeping so much better now. Just ask any questions you want to know and someone will jump in to help. This is a very friendly and helpful board. Good luck in your new journey.

    Feeling Lost

Kelsie, that is a decision that you will have to make for yourself. You need to do a lot of research and talk to your surgeon to see which would work better for you. Everyone is different. We will be here to support you no matter which surgery you choose. I personally thought the sleeve would be better for me even though I had to be selfpay. My insurance would cover bypass or band, but after much research I knew the sleeve would be my choice. Good luck and I hope things work out for you soon. Keep us posted.

    Ready Ready Ready

Good luck in your new journey. You are gonna love your sleeve. I had no pain from the surgery at all. I felt a little sick at my stomach the second day, but they gave me meds for that and it was gone by the next day. Walking really helped me feel better quickly. I took my own pillow from home and was really glad that I did. I did not like the hospital pillows. Looking forward to hearing your sleeve story.
