Hi there! I just saw your pictures and the status on how much you've lost! It's amazing! You are an inspiration I was banded on 6/17 so I'm still in the early stage of my journey.

Is it a lot easier to live healthy now as someone that has lost weight and is considered "normal" size or is it just as hard as when you were overweight? Thanks!

i was nervous before my surgery but never had any doubt to go through with it. i was just very anxious to finally get it over with.

good luck and try to remember that patience is key =)....i keep telling myself this!

thanks for the comment. how is life in the mushies? what have you been eating aside from beans? how are you incisions, are they still hurting. it's hard for me to sneeze. it hurts so much after. and bending down is a challenge too. i can't wait until im fully healed! hope you're well =)

Hi there - I wanted to let you know that I think you're an inspiration, specially to me. It looks like you and I are very similar with our build - I am 5'2" and starting weight was 258 lbs. I was just banded on 6/17 and am looking forward to finding the healthy version of me! You look great in your pictures and what a wonderful job being a successful bandster. His practice is primarily in Oxnard, CA but he has an office in Thousand Oaks also. Anyway, I just found him and his entire team so helpful, very friendly and supportive. Good luck!

Hi and thanks! Surgery went really well. I'm in my first week of the liquid diet post-op and to be honest, I am feeling slightly frustrated with it. I've had so much liquids that I'm really missing real food right now. I know it's common to feel this way but man, I am all souped out!

Hi there! Thanks for message on my blog and good luck on your surgery tomorrow! Day one of pre-op liquids is done for me and I survived! Now, day two... Ugh!

Anyway, I look forward to speaking with you post-op to find out how your progress is going. Especially since we're getting banded on the same date! It looks like we're the same age too!

My pre-op diet starts on Monday actually. It seems that my diet is a little bit more easier that the rest that I've read on here. It's basically 2-days of full liquids. I am not looking forward to it but I kinda started prepping myself for it, by doing a liquid breakfast for this week and over the upcoming weekend. I hope it's not going too difficult for me.

i thought you get 4 incisions or something close to that? how did you get away with just 1?

do you have to be fully naked during surgery or do they allow some clothing? I've never had surgery before =)

So, what type of hurldes have you had to go through after getting banded? What types of foods do you eat now? I'm curious what type of diet people really keep after their stomachs have healed.

Yeah, I can't believe my surgery date is finally here. It really feels real now. Strange. I've been in the process since December and every month I felt discouraged since it seems like it was taking so damn long! Haha! Thank goodness it's next week!

I have this fear that I'm going to want to eat too much and the band will break or something! LOL Anyway, was it a pretty rough start for you? thanks again for the info! you have been so helpful! what kind of myshy foods are you eating? i bet you will lose some weight once your stomach has gotten used to the mushy foods. you were on liquids before and now you're on mushy foods, so you're stomach is probably just getting used to it.
