  1. Congratulations!! I am 8 wks pregnant. So far, I have not had much nausea and haven't thrown up. I am scheduled this week for a complete unfill (I have only had 2 fills.) Even though I feel fine now, I have concerns about needing an unfill later on in my pregnancy. I am not sure I would trust my surgeon (or anyone else for that matter) to try to access my port that in the future could be somewhat displaced because of my baby!! I would rather deal with the hunger that put my baby at risk!!

  2. I have gone out to eat several times and have not had a problem. I have offered to show my card, but nobody really wants to see it. One place asked me for it before I offered!! I got cards from my surgeon and from the Lap Band manufacturer.

Shannonsonline- When I went to GC I told them about my surgery. They said I could either pay the Senior Citizens price or use a to go container and weigh it. I went through the line with my container and got what I wanted. They just weigh it and you pay per pound!! Super easy and no hassle!!

  3. I had my surgery the beginning of June. I am reading these replies and my experience is completely the opposite. I could "feel" the band/tightness in my chest immediately after waking up in PACU. I did not expect it at all. A friend and I had surgery the same day, and she experienced the same thing.

I had really good restriction right after surgery. When I could eat foods, I could barely eat a frozen meatball and would get full!!
