Only 800 calories a day? I get to have 1200 on the pre-op. I really messed up today though and ate "food". ugh....oh well tomorrow is a new day!!! Keep me posted on your journey!!!!

Hey there- I got your post on my blog.... I am actually using high protein slim fast right now for my shakes. I also found an Odwalla super protein drink today that is good as well. I think if i were mixing my own i would want to use milk (skim) as it would add even more protein to the mix. I am excited for you that your sugery is soon as well!!!! hey there- the pre-op diet is going well.....i have lost 2.6 pounds since thursday (and it's only saturday). I will have my nutrition class and upper GI on Tuesday the 6th and pre-admission appt. at the hospital on the 7th. I live in Dallas. Where do you live? Im glad to hear that you have been doing so well since surgery and that you lost 42 pounds prior!!! that is wonderful. I've lost 18 total up to this point and I too want to stick to the letter of the program....you are right that we have come too far to not make the most of this new opportunity.

I have completed my insurance guidelines which were a 3 month Dr. supervised program. I just got approval today, and now just have to do the two week pre-op diet, nutrition class and then surgery- should be on October 14th. : )

I am hoping to have surgery in Sept. or Oct. - currently doing a 3 month supervised diet (insurance requirement). again, good luck....talk to you soon.

I read your post with your new pics.... You have done a fantastic job. I am hoping to get the surgery in Oct 09. I have just started my 3 month dr. supervised diet and have my psych consult on the 16th. congrats on the surgery date!! I am hoping to have mine by October. I am aprehensive and have some anxiety about it all too. However, won't it be nice to be healthier and , for me, have a slight measure of control. (on the other hand...hahaha that is also what causes me anxiety.....that i still won't have control.) Oh well- we will all make it through- and we are here to support one another. Good luck!!!!!!
