  1. Thanks girl do you know how long it took me to fit my calves over them boots? It was a struggle lol

  2. Hey girl how have you been?

  3. I've read that a lot of people have the same issues with inconsistency when it comes to restriction. I agree that conservative is the way to go, too, even though we get impatient. And I'm like you - I can't get on the scale everyday or else I obsess over it. I try to weigh only once a week. No, I haven't vomited. But I've also had no problems changing over to the smaller bites, and chewing really well. I thought I'd have a problem chewing well, but it came pretty natural and I think this is why nothing has got stuck. I can eat anything - bread, rice, dry meat - without problems.

  4. Oops I forgot to mention that they only filled me with 0.5cc - we went really conservative because I go to NYC on Thursday and I didn't want to be too tight.

  5. Hey lady!! Yea I had my second fill on Thursday. Since then close to 3 pounds have come off, so it's nice to see a sgnificant amount of weight come off the scale again. I'm ONE pound away from ONEderland, and it can't come fast enough! As far as restriction...I haven't noticed too much of a difference. I've had great restriction since day 1 and still have pretty decent restriction. Today is my first day of "real" eating since the fill since we have to follow that post-fill diet stages. I had my first meal but it was a lot of carbs, so it only kept me full for like 3 hours. I'll have to pay attention when I eat dinner tonight (I work night shift) to figure out how long my turkey tenderloin will keep me full for.

    How have you been doing?

  6. No prob! I'll answer any questions you got :) I was lucky to find this site before my surgery as well

  7. There's a sexy lady haha I love the hair!

  8. Because they do things a lil funny around here. You need to change your avatar, which is under your user CP on the left hand side. It should show up then

  9. Girl take it haha A friend of mine had her tiny appy incision covered up. I realized that nothing was gonna cover up my big ass scars so I figured I might as well accentuate them. Love it!

  10. Glad things went well and you're ready to go! Girl you'll be so focused on food and when you can eat after recovery, you won't even think about smoking lol

  11. haha so are you ready for surgery?

  12. I'm excited too! I don't really have a trick for eating chicken. I try to make sure it's moist just because I've read so much on here about making sure it's moist, but honestly I've ate a few bites of not-that-moist chicken too. I had my fill on a monday, and per Dr. C's orders was allowed to start to a regular diet that Thursday, and had chicken that day.Knock on wood, but I've been very fortunate enough that I haven't had any food intolerances - I've been able to eat bread, rice, pasta, and all the other things that you read some people can't tolerate. I know after each fill there is a chance that I won't be able to tolerate them, but so far so good.

    How are you doing?

  13. Hey chica just wanted to let you know I replied to your request under the clothing xchange group, check it out

  14. Hey girl thanks! I'm officially down 24.4 pounds as of this morning, and I'm 5.6 pounds away from ONEderland. My meals typically consist of greek yogurt mixed with peanut butter for breakfast. for lunch I'll have a boca burger or lunch meat with around 1/4 cup veggies. for dinner I'll try to have fish or chicken with 1/4 cup veggies. If I need a snack during the day, I either do the yogurt/PB thing or a hardboiled egg. Now that I'm back into the swing of things, I'm feeling really good and don't really focus on it during the day. I felt great restriction after my first fill 8/10, and I've lost 6 pounds since then but am now noticing that I am getting hungrier sooner than when I first got the fill. I've got another fill the second week of september and am hoping it will put me at my sweet spot because I feel I'm so close!

  15. My mother is a 2 year breast cancer survivor - Just saying hello and sending positive vibes your way.

  16. Larry I absolutely love my lapband. Right now I wouldn't trade it for the world. If complications arise in the future, I'll cross that bridge at that time but will never regret what I started. Good luck to you on your journey, hopefully you get your date soon!

  17. Well I'm glad it wasn't too bad. Give it some time though, I've read some people who didn't feel a difference for a week or 2. I've lost about 3-5 pounds since. I've got a pretty decent restriction. I wouldn't say I'm at my sweet spot but I feel I'm only a fill or two away already

  18. haha what can I say I like to travel. I'm going to be in NYC September 17-23 :(

  19. I'm down about 20 pounds and I'm about 8-10 pounds away from ONEderland...ahh can't wait! I've had only one fill and have decent restriction. When in September? I'll be in NYC but otherwise will be here!

  20. Well it sounds like you're doing good then! I know it's not as fast as you'd like, but 1-2 a week is great. Once you hit restriction you'll be really good.

  21. Hey girl how are things going?

  22. Hey chica how did your fill go?

  23. Here's the scoop on my first fill...not bad at all! She felt around for my port (didn't hurt), sprayed numbing spray, put the needle in (don't peek at it). I didn't feel pain necessarily, just pressure. She had to move it around 2 or 3 times before she actually got into the port but that wasn't bad. She then fill up my band with 8CC of fluid and had me take a drink of contrast - that sensation wasn't too pleasant, my stomach area felt veeeery tight and then when I swallowed I could feel the liquid just sitting there. She then slowly pulled out a few cc's at a time until she found a spot where she thought the liquids flowed pretty good into my lower stomach, which ended up being 4cc. It was cool to watch the liquids drain into my stomach on the machine! But yea now my site is a tad sore but otherwise feeling good. This AM I ate 1/2 cup of greek yogurt with 1 tbsp reduced fat peanut butter, and 5 hours later I realized I was still full. It was awesome!!
