  1. I am drinking water, it just leaves me feeing uncomfortable. It is not refreshing as it was. Anything else is too sweet. Lemon aid is okay. May be I need to try different temps. Warm is better. I miss ice cold though.
  2. Two weeks out now and Water still a little rough on the stomach. Does it get easier to tolerate? How far long where you? So far crystal lite is too sweet for me. Gives me a headache. Miss loving plain H2O.
  3. Definitely over crap. Want to make it count.
  4. wonder if fiber gummies are good? not a fan of metamucil...
  5. thank you! I will be stopping at store on the way home tonight!
  6. 1 (28 oz) can of low sodium stewed tomatoes 1 (28 oz) can of low sodium vegetarian refried Beans 1 (15 oz) can of low sodium whole kernal corn, drain and rinsed (you may need to omit this, if unable to tolerate) 1 (15 oz) of low sodium green beans 1 (24.5 oz) can of low sodium vegetable broth 1 tablespoon dried oregano 1 tablespoon garlic powder pepper to taste 1 teaspoon dried basil 1 tablespoon dried parsley 2 tablespoons dried minced onion Directions: Puree strewed tomatoes in an electric blender or mixer. Place pureed tomatoes, refried beans, corn, green beans and vegetable broth in a large pot. Cook over medium heat. Refried beans and tomatoes will cook down and provide a Soup base. Stir occasionally to prevent stickiness. Add Water as needed to prevent over-thickening. Add spices and continue to cook until soup is heated through and just boiling. ******** Found this in my bariatric manual provided by my surgeon coordinator. Looks really good for fall and wanted to share. Enjoy, Chad
  7. Preop I used to have a cup of morning coffee and head to the "water closet" on a daily basis. I have struggled post op (2 weeks) to have a regular schedule. I know I am eating ALOT less and likely less fluids, but had to take stool softener to make things work this weekend. I have not felt a need to go since. Should I be worried? Take a Fiber supplement? Will drink more if I can, but feel maxed out for now. Today is my last official day of full liquids, will try soft foods tomorrow. Maybe that will help. Scrambled eggs for Breakfast.
  8. Used to have a cocktail at dinner on a regular basis at home or while out (may be more later too, but that is another topic) I guess if it is not causing you pain and discomfort now, you are likely okay, but at a later date you may or may not be able to change its effects if something changes. Unlike Water, alcohol especially liquor, can add up empty calories rather quickly with our knowledge. Could later contribute to stalls, gains or slow progress. It is human nature to relax on portions, intake ect and count it all the same as when we where more focused. So at this point I am staying away from cocktails. I am only 2 weeks out though. Set yourself up for a win and make it work for you Best of luck, glad u are enjoying life
