5. I just found out I was approved for surgery late Friday afternoon in the midst of running errands, projects and family stuff. Never had that OMG can't believe it. I have told a few friends, family. No one today to share where I am with this, so I came here. Not sure why I feel alone in this journey tonight. I did battle a cold this weekend. But just feeling blah. Trying to figure out how to rebuild my energy for my preop diet, planning for my new life. Once I confirm time off for this at work I will feel better. Glad I have u guys, and I am not alone. My wife is very supportive, but does not get all of this.... All the time.
6. I was just approved Friday, the first attempt. I have SmartHealth.... BCBS of Michigan.
7. Can't wait to no longer have to pay 50 dollars for a simple polo shirt. A Target store deal would be great!
8. What about water and exercise? Will your hotel have a gym, treadmill? Walk twice a day?
9. Woot for second chances, thank you!
10. I started this journey for insurance authorization in May and just found out late Friday I am approved for surgery. I am feeling relief, fear, joy and know more than ever this is my year for change for the better. I have seen many ppl this week having a hard time with mobility because of the extra weight they carry. I don't want to end up that way. So grateful for this second chance. No more excuses. I am not nervous about surgery, but apprehensive about getting time off, two weeks, around a demanding fall work schedule. Told my boss about the surgery, but did not have a date. Maybe Sept 24th. My surgeon did not tell me I had to lose a certain # of pounds so far. And I haven't. I have a six week plan, and the two week no carb eating plan just before surgery. Time to be all in and embrace this with open arms. Should hear from the surgeon this week for pre op appointment. Chad
11. Thank u, will ck it out.
12. That's enough motivation for me!
13. I have always wondered this too. I tried once after a really good blowout and lost 3+ lbs. But usually a pound plus some. Drink coffee first....
14. I have lymphedema that came on suddenly about ten years ago in one leg. I wear compression stocking daily now to keep it in check. Should wrap nightly, too. Has anyone had good results in improving lymphedema after VSG? How has wrapping, swelling, pain changed for you? Exercise suggestions? Thanks in advance.
15. Here are the ingredients. It lists all the whey Protein products, including concentrate and hydrolysate. My nut told me to use isolate products only.
