  1. Thank u both, I am getting close... My preop surgery appointment is this Tuesday 8/28.
  2. I see that a some ppl eat beef jerky for a snack. How much can u eat? Are their ones better or lower in sodium than others? When did start eating it after surgery?
  3. If you get reflux problems could u not convert to an rny later? While I think rny procedures are also greatly improved, I would still pick the sleeve. Re malnutrition and dumping are not fun either.
  4. At 45 I am ready to start really living! Pre op Tuesday... Get to pick a Sept date then!
  5. You are undergoing a very routine procedure. For me the risks of not doing it out weigh anything else. I'd rather go through some real but temporary pain, than 45 more years of misery. If you have picked a good MD and want to, do it.
  6. Planning on two weeks. Unless I get bored.
  7. The rabbits foot is for you, my friend. I can't take off work until late Sept.
  8. Patrick, awesome work! You are doing great, my friend!
  9. Have a rabbits foot too.
  10. Great news guys! My surgeons office called today, I have my preop appointment with MD and will meet with the scheduling coordinator to pick a Sept date! Still looking at 9/24, Monday.
  11. Woot! Almost here!
  12. I thought of starting early, too! When I was successful on weight watchers for a few years, I never felt better because I had stopped eating all sweets and junk food.
  13. Talked to my boss today, she was very supportive. Told her I was having a sleeve, not just bariatric surgery like before. She said any week was good except the week of September 17th. So it looks like Sept 24 th may work. Going to call the surgeons office tomorrow, if I do not hear from them by noon. They should of gotten my acceptance packet from the bariatric coordinator, since she called me Friday. I am actually excited to do the preop diet. Some of my last meals over the summer left me feeling not so good. Time for a deep carb cleanse, and prep for a new life! Maybe this is my "midlife crisis" reaction.... Ah, perhaps a sportscar when I get to goal. Take the wife on a romantic roadtrip to the keys. But first, I drink shakes! Chad
  14. Excellent, warm it up for me!
  15. Yes, I called once a week at the end.
  16. Best to u, u will do great
  17. Ahhhh, we have 13 year old twins. Loved one under each arm!
  18. My focus has been more on completing insurance requirements. But did not need a six month plan for it.
  19. Two weeks, no carb meals, a shake once a day. Heathly meals before that.... Six weeks. He did not give me a number to loose. I think I gained a few this past month. Time to be all in, now. I have a month instead of eight weeks. Little nervous about that.
  20. Just overnight. My center had a hotel like room with a shower. Could get ready and go to work. I slept from 10:45 - 6 am. Felt okay. Bring a fan if u like one. Helped me sleep like ay home.
