Usually means an in house nurse is looking at all the info to see if you meet their criteria. It may need the medical directors approval since it is elective surgery in order to be finalized. It's good because they are looking at your case, or they could just say that because a decision is not reached.

Thank you for your thoughtful response. I think a new list is in order to refocus on why I want this. I will be sitting in a hospital room a large part of tomorrow. Plenty of idle time.

Great idea, think tomorrow night I should be cutting the grass. At 95 degrees, that will help. I have a push mower.

Seems like they may be doing some of this to satisfy their own uncomfortable feelings. You did this surgery for you first. Be at ease with your plan and they should follow. Sorry you are going thru this.

I am quite fond of a tropical smoothie with splenda and whey protein now. But they are 20 oz! Would they be okay to eat after surgery and it seems like I would waste a lot of one? Thoughts...

Well, tropical smoothie is a restaurant chain. So I would get all 20 oz at once. I looked and most have 45-60 carbs :'(. The whey protien is 22 grams in the 20 oz. Hmmm
