    Not Telling Anyone

I kept it quiet for a long time, except for my immediate family. Thats what i needed at the time. Then this past 6 weeks or so I started telling everyone at work... It became part of my self care even before surgery this week. I got almost all positive comments. It released some uncomfortable self talk I was holding on to. Best to u on this journey
  5. Tomorrow get to start full liquids in the morning! Yes! I had a dream about eating grilled fish, too. Who dreams about fish? LOL

    Full Liquids Warmed

You guy are great, followed your advice and had some cream of chicken soup. Grateful it was not chocolate or citrus.
  10. Now that I can have some warm creamed soups and all. Just wanted to ask... Is it best just to microwave say a few ounces at a time? So far post op I have been sticking to cold stuff. Thanks!
  11. I put warm compresses over my jawbone last pm, for a while. Feels less tight and aches less as well today. Will continue today and see what happens and will work on some massage, too. Thank you my friend.
  12. Hey all please send up some good thoughts and prayers. My wife and are are in a temporary marriage separation after 22 years together. (I have hope this will pass and believe I am doing my part to reconcile) I am staying with a friend for now. I have no plans of delaying my Oct 8 th date even if I am not at home, but will recover alone because my friend is gone a great deal of the time. Had preop this am at hospital, down 18 lbs and I just have to stick to this no carb diet 12 more days. After surgery, I have two weeks off of work. I am an RN so I think I can make good post op decisions... My wife may or may not meet me the morning of surgery. Another friend can take me, but then he has to leave for work. I could just drive myself perhaps. Thought I'd just tell my Doc the wife had to stay at home with the kids. I have three daughters, miss them a lot. Help me see this clearly. Thanks Chad
  13. What techniques did u use?
  14. My jaw was sore but okay until this pm. Have not called, yet.
  15. Surgery went well yesterday. Only nausea was in the recovery room. Morphine PCA made it a lot easier. Had leak test this am, tasted like how lemon pledge smells. Not gritty though. Thinking of all the great ppl here getting sleeved today and this month. This is our season of hope. Feels like an early Christmas present. Best of luck. Jello for lunch, yeah!
