Hi everyone! I have not posted on the Friday weigh in but I am going to start. I had my lap band on May 11, 2009 and I had my third fill on Thursday August 20, 2009 with a total of 4cc's. I weighed 210 on Friday and I am pretty restricted at this point so hoping this is my sweet spot!! LB 05/11/09 Starting weight 258# Total of 4 cc's in 11cc band

I also have a port that sticks out and hurts. It has been almost 3 months and I am going to have it checked out on Tuesday.

I NEED A BUDDY I am just days away from my 2 months post op. I was banded May 11, 2009. I started at 258# 5'5" and I am weighing in as of this morning at 217. I got my second fill today and I have a total of 5 cc's. I am having an issue with craving Dr. Pepper and eating way more than I should. My local support group here is always on a day when I work (I'm a RN and just can't get off to go) so I need so major support issues through this website. My doctor said I was doing great but I know what I have been and haven't been doing. I am working out 3-4 times a week and I am eating a few things I shouldn't be eating (sugar free chocolate chip ice cream ) any advice on the sweet cravings and Dr. pepper cravings. I am open for all honest advice and opinions. Thanks!!

I got my second fill this morning! I have a total of 5cc's in and I am so happy!! I have lost 41 pounds to date and I can't wait to reach my first goal of 200 in the next month or two!!

I have my second fill tomorrow and I am so stinking excited. I have lost over 40 pounds and I am ready to lose some more!! How is everyone doing? Who is up for their 2nd fill??

John- your second fill is only going to be 2 weeks after your first?? I am so jealous. My second fill is not until 7-7 which is nearly a month after my first. I am staying really full so far and that si good but I am ready to find that sweet spot everyone talks about!!

So my appt went well. I lost 3# in 3 weeks and they put 3 cc's in my band. My bariatric nurse had said it would be 4-5 but I am totally happy with 3. They used lidocaine which I was SOOOO thankful for and she had to poke around a bit but finally got it. I sipped my glass of water and was free to go. Liquids for 24 hours then a soft diet for dinner tomorrow!! I am so excited and ready to start losing more weight!!! How is everyone else doing since their fill?

I go in today for my appt and I am praying I will get a fill. I am so hungry and according to my scale no weight loss. I will post as soon as I get home!! Off to work out...Have a great day all!!

I live in Odessa, Texas and I was recently banded by Dr. Davenport. I love his team and they are so awesome. I work at Medical Center Hospital and my insurance covered all of my surgery but I had heard thet they will let you pay them out over the span of year and you can then have the surgery as soon as it is all paid.

My first fill was suppose to be June 16th but my appt had to be changed due to my work being a PIA. So now I am on for June 9th and I am not sure he will fill me so soon. My bariatric nurse said my first fill will be 4-5ccs and I am so excited!! But also reserved that he may not fill me so early, I was only banded on May 11th so holding my breath until then!!

I have never been told nor can I find it in my owner's manual. After banding but before first fill how much should I be eating? I eat till I am full but I am worried about stretching my stomach out. Can anyone answer this for me? Thank you Found my answer!! Thank you!

Today at work I ate half a grilled cheese sandwhich and some tom soup. It made me miserable and I had to vomit. Now I am worried about vomitting, could one time hurt the band or does it take more provuse vomitting to cause slippage? I am14days post op, I know I should not have ate that but I did and Iam paying for it now. Will I ever get this down and get over eating ^comfort^ foods. I know it is a lifestyle change and I walk anywhere from 2-3 miles a day and I had been sticking to my diet but failed big time day!!!

Are you calling me an IDIOT?? Because I guarantee that not one of us got to this board and became fat because we never cheated on a diet, INCLUDING YOU!! So please don't call me an idiot because I made a mistake. It was something I learned from and I won't be doing it again. That is how life works, it is ok to make mistakes as long as you learn from them. So if you have an issue with something I have done you are more than welcome to drive down to Texas and let me know about it!!

I did talk to my bariatric nurse yesterday and she laughed at me. She said everyone does it and anyone who says they didnt try is lying. She said as long as I was not having any pain I should be just fine. She did put me back on clears for the rest of the day then back to soft foods today. She also made sure to tell me that my being a nurse I should have known better LOL. I have a great bariatric team and I am thankful for them. Thanks for the replies.
