Dr. Watkins did it Do you ever make it to support groups? I think there's one on the 14th.

It depends. If you're happy with your progress and are where you want to be then it might not be that helpful. But if you have any room for improvement or would like to get some great tips and good advice it can be worthwhile.

Dr. Watkins did my surgery. Did he do your surgery? He totally rocks. I've heard great things about Dr. Mobley as well. I'll be at the support group Monday night.

I've just been super busy. We started a new station at work and it's been consuming huge amounts of my time

Life's good. Just bought a new drumset! I gave up the drums when my daughter was born...drums and a sleeping baby don't mix. Now that she's 8 it's a different story! Weight loss is still good. Started at 325 and i'm no 280. I'm going in for my sixth fill tomorrow. I know what you mean about fitting into old clothes...man it feels awesome! Are you stoked about the new Star Trek movie coming out? All I've heard are awesome things...I can't wait...i'm such a sci-fi geek

Getting close to my sweet spot. I've had 5 fills so far and I get my 6th this Saturday. I'm doing good...exercising, eating better, and losing weight. How're you doing?

The fills are going good. I've had 3 so far and I'm getting another one on Friday. I'm had a little restriction but i am definitely not at my sweet spot yet.

I got my first fill just about four weeks after surgery and didn't really notice a difference. I got my second fill last Saturday and noticed some restriction. I'm hoping that this third fill on Saturday will get me even closer to my sweet spot. Even though i'm not fully utilizing my upper pouch yet i'm still eating a lot smaller portions now so that's good. Good luck to you!

No bother. I went on solid food way faster than what they recommended. I felt like I healed up super fast and never had an issue with nausea whatsoever. I did about 5 days liquid post op then about 3 days of mushies and then regular food after that. I can eat cheeseburgers, pizza, etc. right now and I don't think it's a big deal because I'm not filled yet. I figure this is my last chance to eat "normal" food so i'm enjoying myself for the next week. Once I get filled I'll be much more strict with myself. I figure, since the time between surgery and your first fill is for healing...not dieting. So that's what i'm doing.

PS - I do chew very slowly now and i find myself getting fuller much faster. I can probably eat about 50% of what I used to and I do wait until after i've eat to drink anything.
