    Pregnant And Not Removing Fill

As long as you can eat you're fine. I had gotten so tight due to bloating that I could barely drink Water so I had to have an unfill. -Cordelia, banded 1/08

    After Pregnancy Weight Loss

I was partially unfilled but it effectively was like being totally unfilled. I gained back pretty much all my weight- but I was also 9 mos preggers. I lost about 40 lbs on my own after having my son. It took me over a year before I felt mentally ready to deal with the band again, so I was just filled on 3/12. I'm not the tightest I've been but I can only handle so much. I definitely have restriction now. I've lost about another 20lbs. It's still hard. I have another about 90 lbs to get to goal. Hard. Hard. Hard. -Cordelia, banded 1/08

I say that you should go for it- just keep in mind that you need to eat healthy and exercise too. You may want psychological help to deal with issues when you are not medicating with food. If you are ready to help you- do it! -Cordelia, banded 1/08

    Pregnant And Not Removing Fill

I retained so much Water my band got super tight to where I could barely drink water so I had to. As long as you can eat enough and eat healthily you do not need to -Cordelia, banded 1/08
  9. I'd be happy to talk to you. I was banded in 08, got preggers in '10 and now have a 15 month old son. Cordelia Goddesscordelia@gmail.com -Cordelia, banded 1/08

    Help

When you lie down, you retain Water. Happens inside too. Sooo- most are tighter in the am. Pre menopausal women also change tightness as hormones shift- bloatedness is not just on the outside -Cordelia, banded 1/08

    Make Your Own Protein Bars?

I don't think making something with 1/2 cup butter is the best idea. I did some research into quinoa Protein bar recipes and put my own together- they are in the oven right now! I'll let you know. -Cordelia, banded 1/08
  15. I love my Protein bars (Keenwah Decadence) but they're super expensive so looking for other ideas. I usually have a veggie & fruit smoothie mid morning. Other ideas? -Cordelia, banded 1/08

I Think It's The Green Zone!

I don't try to vomit- but when something gets stuck- it must come out. For me, it never just works its way through. Once you are a few months post of you really should be fine. Best not to, but if you have to- the quickest way is my fave -Cordelia, banded 1/08

I Think It's The Green Zone!

So, its taken me a few years to work up to this but if I have something get stuck I just stick my finger down my throat to throw up and it comes out. With two kids, I can't just sit around waiting for it to resolve. You may need to do liquids for a bit- dislodging/pb'ing/puking- can make yor band area a bit inflamed -Cordelia, banded 1/08
  19. I had my son 1/31. I gained almost all my weight back during the pregnancy and have lost about 40 lbs since I had him but have plateaued. I know I can get a fill but I just don't want to. I cry every time I think about going through that deprivation again. My doc says he'll do it even though I'm nursing but I just haven't had the guts to schedule. Thoughts? Experiences?
  20. Oh- still nursing too! -Cordelia, banded 1/08
  21. All- I finally got my fill when my son was about 14mos old. I did not get it super tight. I've lost about 12 pounds in 4 weeks. I have to use lots of willpower too but I can drink liquids with no problem -Cordelia, banded 1/08

    Juicing?

I find that if I alternate a small meal with a shake - I eat 3 small meals a day and drink two shakes. I almost always use an apple, then I can add kale, sprouts, cukes, spinach and the apple makes it taste good. Btw-that's with a Vitamix blender not a juicer. Don't forget to use organic! -Cordelia, banded 1/08
  23. I can drink a few sips with food but usually don't. Everyone's body is different- and it's even diff at diff times of day or the month -Cordelia, banded 1/08

    2Nd Fill..too Tight???

Eggs are tough- I can't eat them. Try eating whatever with a crunchy cracker- this helps me chew adequately. The sign of a too tight fill is if u can't keep down liquids -Cordelia, banded 1/08
  25. I was banded 1/08. I lost ~125, then lost full, gained a bunch back, had revision surgery 10/09. I got back to a total loss of 110 then got preggers. Had an unfilled and gained most all back. My baby is 13 mos and I finally got a fill again this week. So now I'm down about 60 from original and 100 to get to goal. Exercise....just keeping the faith...that's me
