Right now I'm just working on drinking because my throat hurts so bad. This is the third time I have been sick since surgery (haven't been sick in over three YEARS but I know a lot of it is the weather here compared to Hawaii! hehe)

  3. 1. My sleep is WAY off now! I have SO much energy I can't unwind and sleep! 2. I too am FREEZING!! I have even gone to bed with socks and I think that is the worst feeling! 3. I have never been consitpated in my life until now 4. I don't want pasta! I have wanted Pasta everyday for at least 7 years now and now I don't!! 5. I LOVE EGGS!! LOL It's funny to see posts about hateing them! I liked them before but OMG I eat them almost everyday now! 6. I actually like the Protein shakes and bars! I'm usually a very pickey eater but I really do like them! 7. I am RUNNING!!! I am even doing a 5K race in April! YAY!
  4. Well I really hope this is the news those have been waiting for!! Keeping my fingers crossed!
  5. I was told that if later after I reach goal I really want to drink a carbonated drink then thats my choice but it's also Calories! I was warned that the first time you drink it it will usually hurt pretty bad but then your body gets used it. I personally don't plan on drinking soda again but who knows how things will change in the future!
  6. OJ can cause more acid in your stomach that we don't want!!! I don't drink it a lot but when I was about 5-6 weeks out I got REALLY sick over Christmas with a nasty cold so I was drinking OJ like crazy and I was fine!
  7. I'm a Flirty Thirty too!!! Will be 33 this year (Oct) and I couldn't be happier that I am taking my life back now instead of later!!!!
  8. Dawn replied to bugwitch's topic in The Lounge
That is a Super Cute idea!!! That is on my list, ALWAYS! LOL I had my goal for getting a new job being getting my nails done!! I have already started to find a little more "style" then I had before!! Shopping in my biggest reward but I also do beauty things (hair, nails, massages)!! It's weird to NOT reward myself with food cuz I've been doing that for Years! LOL
  9. I wish I could be helpful but I WISH I knew of what to do to help it but I'm a HORRIBLE stick too For this surgery I was stuck a few times the first time then the IV went back on the second day of my hospital stay and they had to redo it at 2am and that about 6 sticks! Best of Luck!!!
  10. I am 3 months out and all I "have" to take is a multi everyday. I was told I could take whatever one I wanted but I still have chewables so I'll use those up first! I personally choose to also take biotin everyday and it's in a capsule form and I can take it fine as long as I haven't just ate!
  11. Dumping syndrome usually involves you being in the bathroom for awhile (a long while) and it's not a normal thing for VSGers! My guess is you did drink too fast. I still get pain if I eat or drink too fast and I'm 3 months post-op! Remember to just sip sip sip slowly!
  12. Thanks everyone!! I think I'm still on a "high" from it all! LOL I even tried my dress on again today and took a picture to put as my FB pic!! hehehe The thought of fitting into my goal jeans is really starting to feel more "real" now! YAY!!!
  13. B - Protein Shake (Chocolate PB with vitamin) L - Pizza D - Sh*t on a Shingle (dried beef in gravey over toast) S - Protein Ice Cream
  14. At my 3 month appointment I was instructed to keep it under 1000 a day but no less then 700!!
  15. I started with PB in my Protein drink at 2 weeks! It does have a lot of fat in it but it's tasty and helps the shakes go down plus the protein in thats in there!!!
  16. It's an OFF day over here Early morning appointments, shopping and start my period so food doesn't sound good B - Protein Bar L - Beef Jerky D - ??????? Maybe a slice of leftover pizza S - chocolate Cookie
  17. Met with my surgeon this morning for my 3 month post-op appointment. A few weeks ago I had all my labs drawn (all 10 vials of them!!) and everything was back and OMG I can't believe it, it was all GREAT!!! NO Supplements at all!! WOOHOO!!! Still have to keep up with my protein and also my daily vitamin but otherwise nothing else!! She also said she was very happy with my progress and everything was great! I also went and saw the NUT today and she also was very happy with my progress! She looked up on her charts and says my "goal" weight should be 152 so MY goal is staying at 150! Today at the doctors office I weighed in at 192.7 but of course I am following my scale at home! So after all the good news this morning I decided to go a "treat" myself with new clothes! hehe I found brown knee high boots FINALLY and even better was they were on sale for TEN DOLLARS!!!!!! WOOHOO!! I also grabbed another pair of tights and another pair of workout pants, that have a drawstring so they should last me longer! The crazy part was I found a super cute dress and I remember my husband saying something about me wearing more dresses so I figured I would try it on. I grabbed the XL and went to try it on. It fit okay, seemed a little big so I figured I might as well try the Large and just see how much more I have to go until I get into it. OMFG IT FIT!!!!!!!!!!! It didn't just fit, it fit WELL!!!! I was in a 2X when I started my journey just a mere 3 months ago and now I'm in a Large!! HOW FREAKING AWESOME! I also got a cute "v day" shirt that was also a large!!!
  18. I have heard that they have great programs around there!! Glad I don't have to go through a waiting process since I'm already sleeved but I still need my follow-up care and I want to continue with support groups as I find them helpful! I'm just excited to finally get moved down there and get it all figured out! I have my last visit with my surgeon here at West Point today!!!
  19. B - Protein Shake (with my vita in it!!!) L - Tuna and crackers D - Ham and Bean Soup S - Beef Jerky, Cheese Sticks and maybe some protein Ice Cream tonight if I have room!
  20. I am 3 months out and I luckily haven't had any vomitting or PBing at all and I sure hope I don't!!
  21. I am very sad about mine Many moons ago I lost 50lbs and my boobs didn't move from their 42F size so I had a breast reduction and have been a very happy 38D since! Well over the years and more and more weight I did go back up to a 42D. Now I'm down 50lbs and back to a 38 but I'm not a full D anymore and they seem to be getting smaller and smaller everyday I didn't go through that painful of a surgery to lose them all now I got to thinking about it though, before it took me over a year to lose those 50lbs and now it's only taken me 3 months!
  22. It's been a so-so day as I had to spend my morning getting my car fixed instead of in the gym B - Protein Bar and Cup of Milk L - Applebee's Steak (about 3 1/2 oz) D - Grilled cheese and Tomato Soup is the plan but the steak hasn't been sitting well so we'll see what I end up with S - Beef Jerky, Cheese Sticks
  23. I haven't tried any yet but have been thinking about it a lot lately!! Honestly, I do hope that it's either unsettling or not good just so I can wrap my brain around that I don't want it anymore! LOL
  24. Wow, I think thats the most drastic timeline I've heard!! Mine was 1 week clear fluids, 2 week full liquids (second week added eggs), 1 week purred/soft foods, 1 week mushy and then onto solids. My recovery went from soft to solids though per my NUT and doc!!
  25. WOW! I'll be 3 months post-op tomorrow and I still have restriction with fluids! I can drink more now then when I first got it but I still can't drink a lot! I LOVE my restriction but sometimes I do wish I could drink more!!!
