  3. The good Lord gave you a body that can stand most anything. It's your mind and motivation you have to convince. You must begin to think of yourself as becoming the person you want to be. Let that person who is inside come out and see the world. Take it one day at a time. Happy Holidays. PS: Update me on your progress and visit my web page As My World Turns

    Exercise?

I do about 20 minutes on the eliptical or treadmill. I then do some weights mostly working out my arms, back and belly. I do 50 of each. My legs, t highs and butt are made of steel, ( I have no fat there, I wish I did) so i don't work those out too much yet. Once I lose upper body weight I will do more leg and butt exercises. All my fat is from the belly up. After the weights I do a 45 minutes aerobics mix class which usually uses the stepper, arm weights, and ball. The classes exhaust me the most, after the class I am done. If I do a class before I do the eliptical or weights I will not have the energy to keep going! So I always do the classes last. I go at least 3 times a week, but I am forcing myself to do 4 times a week now. I actually feel so good when I am done.

Second Fill and can't have McD's!

Yes it feels nice to get full quicker doesnt it? I get happy when I can't eat all of something or can't have something that is not good for me! I can still do carbs just not some of them. I usually have the pepperidge farm lightstyle oat bread toasted and it is good. I actually had a pancake this morning with the kids at my school and it went down well also. I feel restriction but I think I still need a little bit more. I think with one, or two at most, more fills I will be at my sweet spot.
  6. So i have had my 2nd fill on Thursday and now I have 4.5 cc's in my band. I also lost only 4 lbs since my last visit, but since I had no restriction I see that as a victory. With this new fill I feel some restriction, I am not sure if it is my sweet spot though...we will see. Anyway so this weekend I attempted to have a toasted bagel and it got stuck! The feeling was horrible but I loved the fact that I know that I can't have bagels anymore! Also yesterday I decided to treat myself with some McDonald's (after not having it for over 4 months) and I could not handle it!! I ate very slowly and chewed well but those chicken nuggets were not going down lol. I attempted a cheeseburger (minus most of the bread), and I could not eat most of it and I was soooo happy! PBing makes you never want to eat those foods that make you sick again...so I am saying good-bye to McD's and bagels!! They weren't good for me anyway!

    Got my first fill today!

I really didn't feel anything inside, but I can tell you I have nooooooooo restriction yet!! i cant eat anything I want!! I am waiting to hopefully get restriciton next Thursday with my next fill. I want to PB on pizza or bread so I can just not want to eat it!!! It's driving me crazy I am such a carb junkie. Did you tell your doctor what you were feeling at that moment? I would talk to him/her if you havent. Maybe it's normal. I will see if I feel anything similar next time I go.

    What are your NSV's ???

The scale for me has stopped within the last 3 weeks....and I was bummed!!!! But i dont know i guess my body is trying to catch up with the weight loss because within the last week or so I have had to make a hole in my belt, my fitted shirts are no longer fitted, I can fit my nephew in some of my pants with me, and two days ago I was driving with my hand out the window and my watch shifted, I can now fit a finger between my watch and my wrist, which before I had to kinda squeeze my watch shut! So i guess pounds don't mean everything! Congrats to u all!! My 2nd fill is next Thursday hopefully I will feel some restriction!
  9. I have had the same pain, but I've noticed it is only when I overeat so that hasn't been too often. Also i feel like when I am sitting down eating I don't feel full too quick...but as soon as I get up I feel extremely full and if I am too full I will feel some pain, but it is not real bad pain either just a bit. I just have one fill of 3 cc's and that is not enough! Hopefully when I go back I will feel better restriction..I am also starting to stand after I eat a bit to see how i feel so I won't get too full. Hope things work out Renee!!

    Got my first fill today!

I had 3cc's put in my band on 9/10 and I have hardly and restriction.. It was not painful at all for me, but I have a high tolerance to pain. I get full a little faster but I still get hungry in about 2-3 hours, and i can eat anything i want! I go for another fill on 10/8. Hopefully I will get more restriction then.

    anyone still have swelling???

Well I didn't know I had an infection til 10 days post op...I was actually at my follow up visit at the Dr.'s and my incision started leaking....Prior to this though I had a lot of pain a few days after surgery and my incision was hard and hot...I didn't have a fever so I thought all these symptoms were normal...I have never been operated on before...Well when the Dr. saw the leakage he squeazed what he could out in the office and the Dr. gave me antibiotics. I just had drainage for about ten days...the drainage went from a yellowish brown to clear. After that the pain, swelling, and heat went away from my incision. Now I am doing great! Thank GOD!!! Why were you in the hospital four days?? Did you get the infection right after operation??

    anyone still have swelling???

mommy swelling is normal for awhile...make sure though that it is not an infection...i was swollen from an infection under the incision...some signs that it may be: Signs and Symptoms of An Infected Surgical Incision Hot Incision: An infected incision may feel hot to the touch. This happens as the body sends infection fighting blood cells to the site of infection. Swelling/Hardening of the Incision: An infected incision may begin to harden as the tissue underneath are inflamed. The incision itself may begin to appear swollen or puffy as well. Redness: An incision that gets red, or has red streaks radiating from it to the surrounding skin may be infected. Some redness is normal at the incision site, but it should decrease over time, rather than becoming more red as the incision heals. Drainage From the Incision: Foul-smelling drainage or pus may begin to appear on an infected incision. It can range in color from blood-tinged to green, white or yellow. The drainage from an infected wound may also be thick, and in rare cases, chunky. Pain: Your pain should slowly and steadily diminish as you heal. If your pain level at the surgery site increases for no apparent reason, you may be developing an infection in the wound. It is normal for increased pain if you “overdo it” with activity or you decrease your pain medication, but a significant and unexplained increase in pain should be discussed with your surgeon. I had the swelling, the hot incision, and the pain which I thought was normal, I didnt get the drainage till about 11 days after the surgery. Im sure if it is just swelling it is okay and normal...just wanted to give you some pointers that I wish I knew before.
