Hey ladies and John. I may make it Saturday, got to talk with my fella first. John & Candra, I feel you appt pain! Doc Fisher is going to meet with me again so he forwarded my email to the schedulers. Sarah called me while I was in Hawaii and I didn't answer because it was 6am, and for some reason I didn't call her back until I got home. I left a message on Richmond's machine over a week ago. Ugh. I took all the rest of the candy and cookies that I made for Christmas to work today, everyone was so excited and thanked me. Ha! I have to get other people to eat the sugar so I don't eat it all! And, since we're honest here... I've apparently gained about 8 lbs since the beginning of December. WTF? I have got to get this under control! What am I doing? I haven't journaled for so long, so that's one thing I'm starting back up. I also need to be sucking down all that water, and I need to be serious about exercise and eating according to plan. I'm dissapointed in myself. I need to see my banded babes! -

Let's brainstorm indoor activities we can do. -jumping at the trampoline places (sky high sports etc) -bowling - Wow, only two ideas. When the weather is good we should walk across the golden gate. -

Seriously, why is it so hard to stay on track during vacations and holidays? I didn't sleep right, I didn't eat right, I didn't exercise... sheesh. I'm a mess! I'm excited to get back on track though. I'm going to make tomorrow's lunch so I have plenty of time in the morning. Goodnight ladies! -

Doc Fisher told me back in May that it would be difficult over the holidays. Boy, he was right! I'm totally eating even though I'm not particularly hungry. Why?! It's because I have all this junk in my house. I'm thinking I'll just clean out the fridge tonight and throw out stuff. All the candy and cookies are going to work with me in the morning. I tried my Wii Fit today, I have to say I like the EA Active way better than the Wii Fit game. I haven't done the EA Active with the balance board yet, but it's just a better workout. I do like that the Wii Fit program lets you password protect your stats (ie- weight and BMI) I don't like that it automatically changes my Mii's body shape. How depressing! We definately need to meet up soon! I'm needing a fix! Anyone want to do the EG meeting Monday night? We could always sit outside like we did last time. It could be a good place to meet up, no food around and it's warm and safe inside. I wonder what it takes to reserve a room there? Any takers? -

Howdy ladies & John! I had a wonderful Christmas and Boxing Day. My good friend is home from Canada for the first time in two years. We went to lunch at Fresh Choice (I got an ice cream, but only ate about 1/3 of it, and made pretty good choices) then we went to Chevys to meet our other friend for drinks. We sat there for at least 3 hours! I had water, but I got dinner to go for me and the fella. I'm not really feeling guilty about it though. I got a Wii Fit for Christmas, I've put the batteries in but didn't work out yet. It's on the top of my to-do list for tomorrow. I was thinking about this past year; 2009 has been a great year for me. I've lost 50 lbs, met some amazing new friends (you guys!), survived layoffs and took a wonderful vacation to Hawaii. What a great year! I'm really looking forward to what 2010 brings. -

Wow, after all of my binging on vacation I'm craving good healthy food. Never thought that would happen! I didn't binge like I would have a year ago, but it definately wasn't on plan. Didn't get back to the gym yet, I'm feeling antsy to get my body moving though. Good times! -

Haha Candra, we watched his special in the hotel before we flew out. I must still be on Hawaii time. I need to get myself to bed! -

Whew... I'm finished reading! Apparently one of my posts from last week didn't post! I found The Beck Diet Solution at Borders for $2.99! It was in the bargain books section. I'm stoked. Anyone who needs one should check Borders! Vacation was good, my resistance muscle went on vacation, but we apparently went on different vacations. We had fast food a few times but I resisted all soda. It's really hard to diet when you're around a group of people who don't seem to care about dieting. We ate all sorts of junk, but I tried to make good choices. I had wanted to do a hike to Manoa Falls, but we just didn't have the time. We got to do Diamond Head, I felt the power of Riley! I was seriously climbing and huffing and puffing and thinking of my ladies! It was quite a workout, sadly my only workout to speak of. We also really wanted to do a Lost (TV Show) tour of Oahu, but that didn't happen either. We were traveling with his family, nine of us in all (7 adults, a 7 year old and 2 1/2 year old). It's good to be home. I'll be putting some pictures up on facebook. I think one of my favorite parts of the trip has got to be fitting in the airplane seat with room to spare in my seatbelt! Our flight home was miserable. We took the red-eye leaving Honolulu at 10:15 and arrived in SF at 4:45. Somehow our row had no air vents. We were so warm, and my poor boyfriend kept getting snuggled by the dude next to him. Once we got home we crawled in to bed and set the alarm for 11am. We finally got up around 2:30. I had so many plans for today. I missed my weight check apt, and didn't do anything I needed to do. I've got laundry going right now but I'm feeling rushed. Chrismas in four days away and I don't have time! I never want to take a flight like that again. We had to leave our rented house by 10 am, so we basically sat around his aunt's house for about 8 hours before we left for the airport. The red-eye wasted my day yesterday and my whole day today. Now I've got to go to the grocery store so we can have healthy food. Hope you all are doing well! -

No chance to read anything yet-just a quick update. We climbed Diamond Head today. Wow. Talk about a workout! I'm so proud of us. Eating has been crazy but I'll get back on track on the mainland. Miss my ladies! -

No time to read. I'm sitting on the plane getting ready for take off. I fit in the seat sooo much better than I did 1 year ago. What a great feeling! I can buckle the seatbelt with ease and even pull it tighter. Woohooo! -

The rule for working out while sick- It's the neck test. Anything above the neck (ie- head cold) you're good to exercise. If you have a fever or a chest cold, stay home. -

Happy Bandaversery Donna!! Woohoo! Question- Do you think SSF would let me do a weight check even though I'm a Richmond patient? I'm going to be in SSF all morning tomorrow before our afternoon flight. If I don't get back on again, Have fun while I'm gone! lol. PS- Good job Tamra! -

Howdy all! I've been running around like a mad woman getting ready for our trip. I went to get a pedicure and the shops were closed. All the nail shops. My friend and I drove around town in flip flops looking for a nail place! Oh well. We're staying in SF tomorrow night so we can store the car at the hotel but our flight isn't until 4! So maybe I'll just get my nails did in SF. I feel a little guilty that I didn't go to the gym last night or tonight, but I'm busy! I'm going to miss you all when I'm gone! I can log on with my phone, but it's just not the same. It's hard to read the novels we write every day. Hmmm, 11 days away from lap band talk. How will I manage? -

Howdy howdy! I didn't go to the gym tonight, I planned to but I needed to get my bangs trimmed. Then I went to walmart where I died a little on the inside. Seriously, wally world was miserable. I had to return 1 item and it was a 20 minute line. Ugh. I'm getting a pedicure tomorrow, so my toes will be ready for Hawaii. lol. I should go to the gym after that. We'll see how that goes. I'm kinda off-diet again, but I figure I'll just make sensible choices while I'm on vacation and try to go on walks every day. Back from vacation = back on track. -

Pam, that's a great point. We shouldn't be setting goals "one day at a time" sometimes those goals really need to be per meal. Well said! -

Tamra, don't give up. I know how difficult it is but it's worth it. Just go in for your weight checks and email Baggs so you're still in the program. Maybe you need to give yourself a little time over the next few weeks to endulge and not feel guilty, then really commit to it when you're ready. I've met people who took a year to lose the weight (and they didn't have Doc Fisher's insane amount to lose). Just because you're struggling, doesn't mean you can't or shouldn't be here. -

I agree with Candra! I like you both, and want you both here. I'm sorry you're having troubles.:w00t: Candra, there is something about the Maid of Honnor! My sister was in her best friend's wedding, the friend (also my friend) didn't hang out and go to coffee as much after the wedding and wanted to spend time at home with her husband (exactly how it should be!) and my sis felt abandoned. They don't speak anymore. (friends since they were 5-ish) Bummer. I'm back on track again today, I swear! So far the scale appears to appreciate my efforts. Think good thoughts! -

We're renting a house in Kailua, apparently 2 1/2 blocks from the beach. I'll get my exercise in walking to the beach and then walking back to get some shade. lol. I am hoping to do a lot of active stuff. Oh, and for some reason after dinner tonight I threw the plan out the window. I decided not to make the junk food I was going to take to work. Too dangerous! Ugh. I was doing so well too! -

Oh, and I'm going to Oahu next week. John, that line about all you lost was your luggage- cracking me up. I told the boyfriend and he got worried. He doesn't want our luggage to go anywhere without us, I think we'll try that combined packing thing too. -

Day 2 is going well so far! I'm feeling my resist muscle growing stronger every day! I'm making ******-***** ***** tonight, and I'm using it as a test. (Yeah, that's been redacted so no one gets a craving.... It's for your own good!). I think the email from the Doc has really reenergized me. -

:tongue2: Woohoo Christine! Tina was right, you're having a boy! How exciting! I've done great today! I havn't snacked at all (one goal for today) and I did about 1 hr 15 minutes cardio (other goal for today) and about 10 minutes of weights (legs). My legs are burning! I love it. I feel great. Keep up the good work ladies! And yeah, I won't be able to make it on the 12 or 13. I'll be off getting my pale a little less pale. No real tan for me. I'll be working on my sunburn. lol.
