I just had my second visit with Dr. B. and they have everything they need to submit to insurance. They said it usually takes about a week to get it submitted and then however long insurance takes. Of course, I'll be sitting on pins and needles because I just want to get this scheduled. I can't wait to hear how your second fill goes.

everything went well. He said I was a super trooper. Of course, I didn't feel that way because I got sick from the anesthesia and spent until 6 p.m. vomiting until we finally got it under control. i'm doing ok. I'm actually back at work today. I work from home on a computer so it's not like it's a tough job. I could take time off but since I'm a contractor I don't get paid for time off so I figured sitting at my computer was just as easy as sitting around the house. I'm planning on ending my day at 4 and going to take a nap before I have to start the 6p.m. feeding, bath and bed time routines for the kids. Hopefully I can make it until 4. I'm not in a lot of pain just mostly sore. He put my port right above my belly button so the worst thing is standing up straight. I haven't gotten that concept down yet. I'm sure it will get better with each day. I'm waiting on your pictures did you update them yet?

Haven't talked to you in a while and I wanted to see how you are doing. How did you do after your first fill? I'm scheduled with Dr. B on July 22nd then submission to insurance so I'm hoping it won't be much longer.

I'm not doing too bad. I go next Wednesday for my 2nd appointment with Dr. B. and then submit the insurance paperwork...hopefully it won't take long to get approved. The kiddo's are doing great. How are you doing? and how is your little girl? How's the weight loss after your 1st fill?

Wow your first fill. I just had my 2nd one last week. Both were only small fills. The first one I didn't have any trouble eating and could still eat really anything just smaller amounts but this one is tighter. I've been trying to kick it into gear for my sons 3rd birthday party. I'm down 21lbs since surgery 8/18. I started really exercising about 3 weeks ago and have spend the last week under 20 carbs a day...Then today i weight myself and gained 2.5 lbs. I seem to do better when I don't watch my carbs. I'm hoping to also loose 20 by xmas. Let's keep in touch on the progress.

I just wanted to check on you and see how you are doing. I'm having my psych eval the 29th and i've done the dietician. I have to reschedule the fitness because i was sick. I'll be finishing up my 3 month diet on July 23nd and am schedule my 2nd visit with the surgeon the week after that. I'll keep you posted.

I saw your blog today and that you went to Dr. Baptista. I had my surgery by him on 8/12. I know i'm not loosing as quickly as he would like but i've lost 19 lbs so far and I'm happy with that number. I'd love to hear your experience and if you follow the low carb diet.

I technically still have BCBS but we're in the middle of switching to Aetna. What I can tell you that I found out was with my plan the surgery was covered at 90% after a $250 deductible and then I had an out of pocket expense of $1,000. They had requirements that I had to meet before the surgery which were a 6 month (consecutive) physician supervised diet plan, psychological evaluation and meeting with the dietician. I went to see Dr. Cwyes today and I'm going to the nutritionist at 3 p.m. today. Then meeting with the Fitness Consultant on Monday. I thought I would be done with my 3 month supervised diet in June but the office told me today that I wouldn't be done until the end of July so now we are probably talking about a very late August but most likely Sept surgery date. So that was very disappointing. I'm hoping once they get the records and talk to my insurance again they will be able to move it up. I'll keep you posted.

I have really good restriction and don't think right now I would want to be any tighter. Of course, give it another week and I'll change that story. I I have completely stuck to the low carbs and been charting my food intake. Less than 20 carbs per day this week. Jog/Walk 2 miles on M, W and F and walk 2 miles on Tues and Thurs. I've been doing this routine for 3 weeks now. So I figured this morning I would get on the scale and see how this hard work is paying off. I was up 2.5 lbs. I just sat on the floor and cried. Since having my surgery I've not really done the low carb thing just watched what I ate. I'm hoping that it's muscle but it is making today tough. I'm doing a 5k next saturday so I'm going to stay focused.

I hope your pregnancy gets better. I struggled so much with my second one but I can say once she arrived it was such a blessing. She's so special and she was worth all the depressing thought and morning sickness! Have a good halloween!

yeah that's what they told me probably 14 days which puts me the second week of August and then 2-3 weeks to schedule. I was so hoping for an August surgery date but it looks like it might be Sept. That part is hard for me...I just want to get started.

I also have one who is in the terrible 2's and my 17month old is following in big brothers footsteps and doing the same thing...so twice the fun!

44 lbs is awesome! I hope to be at 1/2 that. You have to update some photos so we can see your progress. I had my pre-op yesterday at the hospital and today with Dr. B. I was very happy when he said that I could pick up my kids and didn't have to wait any long period to heal. My kids start pre-school the week after my surgery and i would need to pick them up and put them in their car seats.

Have you updated any pictures? Can you tell a difference in your appearance? I know you said before you couldn't really see the loss.

Hey there! Well I wish I had good news for you but I don't. I had initally lost 10lbs but have gained 6 of those back. It's been a very stressful time since my surgery. I was laid off in December finally found a job in May and now just found out that I'm being laid off from this job October 1. So I've been stressed and depressed which is a bad combination when it comes to dieting. And then of course, we had unexpected company for the last 10 days and it meant going out to eat alot so I haven't made the best choices. I feel really good physically just a little sore every once in a while when I do to much with the kids but I'm so bummed out about not loosing weight that it makes me want to eat more. Everyone is leaving on Tuesday so I'm really hoping I can get back to basics before I have to go in on the 24th to see Dr B. Of course, I'm really nervous about that appointment and hearing his disappointment. Hope you are doing well and I can't wait to see more pics.

Hey your appointment is coming up in a couple of days how are you doing getting those last 2 lbs gone? I have my 2nd surgeon appointment on July 22nd and they will submit my paperwork after that visit. Aetna is usually pretty fast with the approval so we are hoping for an August surgery date. I'll keep you posted.

Hi hope things are going well after your 2nd fill. The office called today and I was approved and the surgery is scheduled for Aug 18th. I am so excited. I can't believe it's less than 2 weeks away!

Hi there...I was just thinking about you. How's the pregnancy progressing? I just went in for another fill - lost 8lbs during the last month so I got a little fill. The swelling from the fill really sucked so the first 4 days I was really sick. But I'm doing much better today. I'm trying desperately to loose as much as possible before Nov 8. It's my son's 3rd birthday party. Hope everything is going really well for you!!!

Hi...what have you been doing in order to loose the weight. You and I were banded 2 days apart but I've only lost 17 lbs.
